Country Life! You will find yourself in between Sidling Hill and Town Hill of Western Maryland, right in the middle of small residental and farm community. With three bedrooms you can sleep up to 6 people in beds and there are two couches. Two livings rooms allow one room for quiet setting and another with a fireplace and tv. Downstairs in the finished basement is a gameroom with a childrens area as well as a pool table and card table. The space Joe's Place is a great central locations for outdoor activity with access to a lot of history and loctions including; Potomac River and C&O Canal (6 miles) (bike path), Green Ridge State Forrest, Sidling Hill , Town Hill Lookout, East Coast Sturges and Rocky Gap State Park and Casino as well as Rails to Trails. Cumberland is only 35 miles with Hancock on 15 (with is where the nearest full service grocery store is located. Fishing, hunting, canoeing Available. Bill"s Place further on same road to rhe right has rental services for canoes. The home as a full kitchen for cooking but there are places nearer than Hancock and Cumberland to eat. The Brewery "Locust Post" is only about a mile away serving home brew and great pizzas and usually have entertainment on weekens with live music....but the bothrooms there are a must see....as it is owned and operated by an artist couple and decorated by them and their fellow artisians. Also for meals out there is Jays, Just down the Orleans across the highway is a restaurant in the local gas station and take out is also available at The Oak Barrel just a mile or so south on Hwy 68. Guest access All areas of the home are available to our guest. There is a fire pit outside as well as swing and picnic area. The sunsets from this area can be remarkable Other things to note VACATION WIYH YOUR HORSES As per a recent request you are now able to keep your horses at Joes Place. There is a small arena with stalls to support up to 4 horses adjoining an area of about 825 sq ft of area for the horse to move around. Water and electricity availabe at the site. The charges are $22 a night per horse per night This service is available on request and will be billed separately through Airbnb.
