A charming barn converted cottage, located in the peaceful village of Mockerkin, only 2 miles from Loweswater and the old market town of Cockermouth only 5 miles away, ideally situated for easy access to the lakes & fells, yet only 20 minutes drive to the coast and the town of Keswick. An excellent base to explore all that the western lakes have to offer, and with amazing walking & cycling right from the cottage door it makes it the perfect place to make special memories with Family & Friends The space Keld Syke is a Rustic upside down barn conversion with a spacious living room & dining area upstairs, including a real open fire, creating the perfect evening atmosphere after a busy day out exploring or while relaxing watching Netflix on the 43” smart tv or playing family board games. The Cottage has exposed wooden beams which run throughout the upper floor level, you’ll also find the fully equipped kitchen upstairs with a kitchen dining area. All the sleeping arrangements are downstairs, with the master double bedroom having a en-suite bathroom attached and the second bedroom offering 2 full size single beds, the main bathroom is also downstairs with a full size bath, shower over bath, wash basin & toilet. The cottage also offers an area outside with bistro table & chairs, ideal for alfresco mealtimes & drinks. Dogs are most welcome for the fee of £5 per night, per dog, which is payable on your stay, with a maximum of 2 dogs per booking. Plenty of off road parking is available. On arrival you will find a welcome gift of either a freshly made sourdough loaf or locally made cake & a pint of our own dairy milk fresh from our farm waiting for you to enjoy. Guest access Guests have access to the full cottage and free parking outside. Other things to note Charging of electric cars via internal house sockets with your own extension cables is acceptable at the cost of £20 per charge, this can be arranged on your stay. Alternatively you can search for charging points locally on the government website, we are nearest to cockermouth/Workington/Whitehaven/Keswick.
