This home is almost 100 years old - we’ve installed new floors, couches, tables, beds. Still has that very old ocean cottage feel, but we would love to share the view with you. 3 min drive to beach and 5 min drive to Lighthouse! Hello! Welcome to our Lubec Home. My wife and I believe in being very up front - what you'll love : 2 brand new queen beds, close to the beach (2 min drive), views from the upstairs living room, and the closeness to all of Lubec. 2 min drive downtown, 2 min drive to bridge to Canada, and a 5 min drive to Quoddy Head Lighthouse, surrounded by trails and beaches. A few things to be aware of - this house is super old! Many of the light fixtures, doors, steps, sink, and paint job is very very old - please see pictures. We are updating it as we go (new kitchen floor and fridge just this year) but cant update everything at the moment. If you are looking for an updated property this would not be it. There is no AC - we provide standing fans but it can get warm. There is no central heat - there is electric heaters in closet up stairs but have never needed them during a stay. We have Wifi which works pretty good. We have a massive back yard that slopes down to a cliff - depending on what season you visit you will see trees, flowers, bushes next to the bench and fire pit. You will have Johnson Bay views from kitchen, mud room, and of course the upstairs living room. The steps to the upstairs living are steep please ensure you put up the baby gate (located in bedroom closet) if a child is with you as that would be a risk. There is no guest access to unfinished basement (just plumbing and electrical there), however the rest of the house is yours! There is a 50 inch TV in living room that you are welcome to use YouTube or log in with your streaming platform. We provide a coffee maker, microwave and basic dishes/cups. Enjoy!
