This cottage is located near hiking, dining, shops, golf, and is an easy drive to Malibu, LA, or Santa Barbara. Set in a quiet community with amenities like a park with playground as well as easy freeway access, it’s an ideal retreat for all. Perfect for a quick weekend trip or longer stays, this guest house was curated with intention to be a homey escape for a range of guests. From the corporate traveler looking for a cozy spot to unwind, unplug, and cook meals, to the adventure seeker on holiday who desires to be close to the sights but rest in the tranquility of a suburb, this house checks the box. Built in 2023, this light and airy open concept guest house is private with its own fenced outdoor space. Walk into the gate where you are greeted with an outdoor picnic table, gas BBQ, and outdoor seating area to enjoy the California sunshine. LIVING ROOM Enter the home through a smart lock and into the open concept living room and kitchen. Adorn with large windows to let in natural light and shades to provide privacy. A large leather couch and two cozy arm chairs dawn the living which features an entertainment center with a smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, books and board games. The smart TV is set up for you to stream your favorite apps like Netflix, Prime, and YouTube through your personal account. Fast wifi on a private server rounds out the homes technology. The living room features both down lighting and ambient lighting for you to enjoy the room. PLEASE NOTE **the leather couch is not a pull out or sleeper**.**PLEASE NOTE** for stay over a week we require you to water the plants**. KITCHEN The home features a full sized kitchen equipped with the necessities to make cooking easy. A full sized state of the art refrigerator with in door filtered water and ice, 4 burner smart range stove/oven with Sabbath mode capabilities, a smart microwave and hood vent, stoneware crockpot, blender, ceramic coated baking sheets, ceramic pots and pans, glass, wood, and stone plate and sever ware, and glass drink ware to support green living. Himalayan sea salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, coffee, sweetener, and tea (all organic) as well as parchment paper, paper towels, and tin foil are provided to round out a stocked kitchen. For the coffee and tea lovers we provide a ceramic hot water kettle, regular drip coffee maker, pour over coffee maker, and glass tea pot for steeping. Non toxic Public Goods products like dish soap, dish washer detergent, hand-soap, and cleaner round out the kitchen making it feel like home. BEDROOMS There are two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed, and one with a queen sized bed. Adorned with, organic bamboo foam mattresses, 100% organic Egyptian cotton sheets, 4 sleeping pillows per bed, and bedding, as well as room darkening shades and curtains makes each bedroom perfect for comfortable sleeping. PLEASE NOTE ** the shades are room darkening, not blackout.** There are cordless phone chargers and Himalayan salt lamps in each bedroom, as well as sconces by the bed for ambient light. Each room also features a walk in closet with hangers and luggage racks. Extra pillows and blankets as well as children’s items are available **UPON REQUEST**. Children’s items include toddler cot, pack and play, high chair, and toys. REMOTE WORK For those desiring a remote working set up we are happy to provide a desk and chair in the common area, **UPON REQUEST**. BATHROOM The home features one bathroom stocked with premium organic cotton towels, Public Goods non toxic body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. A blow dryer as well as cotton balls and Qtips are also provided for your convenience. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The unit features a full sized washer and dryer, steamer, and wool dryer balls. Free and clear laundry soap is provided for your convenience. A broom, dustpan, small mop, and small vacuum are also provided to make your cleaning needs during your stay easier. PLEASE NOTE **for longer stays (over 2 weeks) additional cleanings through our cleaning service are required and incur additional fees ($200 per cleaning).** PLEASE NOTE, **no pets are allowed** to ensure a clean and allergen-free environment. PLEASE NOTE, **while our cleaning products are non toxic, they contain essential oils.** Guest access This guesthouse is fenced with its own private outdoor space. You have access to the house through a smart lock door which features a unique code that is changed with each guest arrival and departure. There is a camera security system on the exterior for protection. Other things to note The guesthouse is tucked in its own nestled parcel behind a private garage. While you do not have access to the garage you are welcome to park in the driveway in front of it.
