The space Jarrahview Lodge is a the perfect retreat less than an hour away from the city, but you wouldn't realise it is that close! A very special place surrounded by national parks and wildlife, including kangaroos and many species of birds, it is the perfect getaway. The city and valley skyline is absolutely beautiful. The swimming pool will be heated October to November and then March to April. The heater in the pool will not be run during winter months as the desired temperatures are unable to be reached because of overnight cold temperatures. Pool towels will be provided during these months. There is a powder room accessible from the patio. There is also an outdoor shower so you can have a shower straight out of the pool and take in the views at the same time. A genuine “Jarrahdale” wood fired heater is also available for use with some wood provided to keep warm and toasty in winter. The arid Californian style garden compliments the city skyline. There are numerous relaxation areas in the garden. This property has a rural charm with an amazing garden, a rural immersive nature experience you will not forget. Guest access Guests can access the whole house and the property surrounding it which is pictured in the photos. Other things to note Wifi is readily available at the property through satellite service however there can at times be possible faults with appliances with weather or power related outages that can disrupt operation. If access to wifi is critical for work purposes it may be prudent to bring a portable wifi device. In the winter months firewood is provided, if this is all used you will have to purchase more from the service station, the closest is less than 5 minutes away. During restricted fire periods, October to April, and fire bans the fire pit are not to be used in any circumstances. You will be required to note DFES fire advice and restrictions and make yourselves aware of all the restrictions in place. Strictly no sparklers, smoking or fires during October - April at all times. If the Fire Danger Rating provided by DFES is Extreme or Catastrophic we will follow the guidelines of our Development Approval and your booking will be cancelled abiding by the Local Laws set by the Shire of Serpentine / Jarrahdale. You must follow this guidance if communicated to you and vacate the property. This is for your own safety. Pool towels are provided during the summer months. The pool is heated, but to ensure it remains heated the pool cover must be put back off after use to retain the heat during the cooler months. Quiet time outside is strictly 9.30pm, we love our neighbours and noise travels throughout the valley. Music on the patio needs to be turned off by 9.30pm. Strictly no events or parties, no exceptions. We are accommodation only, max capacity is strictly 6 guests and we do not have approval for events, nor is the noise is fair on our neighbours. If you are found to be having an event, you will be asked to vacate the property immediately. Please note that this is a rural property and whilst we do have very regular pest control to spray for bugs and insects and regularly clean the spider webs, we are surrounded by national park and bushlands and as such there will be spiders, bugs and insects, leaves and red dust which naturally occur in this environment and more than normal compared to metro / city areas and housing subdivisions. This red dust does stain the floors, so whilst floors and tiles are clean, this red dirt stains and may be visible even though floors have been mopped. There is also livestock around the area so there may be flies in summer. There are leaves as we are surround by national park and the leaves very frequently blow into the property and the pool even though these areas are cleaned prior to your stay. In summer and occasionally winter easterly winds can also blow dust onto the outside windows and outdoor alfresco areas even though these areas are always cleaned regularly. These winds also blow eucalyptus leaves and blossoms and sand into the pool, even though the pool is cleaned and maintained regularly before guest stays. During extreme weather events including winds in summer leaves may be present in the pool and alfresco areas given the location of the property on a hilltop vista. From October - May due to restricted and prohibited burning periods the outdoor firepits will not be in use. During summer as we rely solely on rainwater tanks and we are not connected to mains, the grass may be not be green, especially in the months of Jan, Feb, March and April before rain in the cooler months. Strictly no vehicles larger than a standard car / 4WD to be driven on the property at all times, the driveway is asphalt and newly laid. For long term stays a starter pack of supplies such as toilet paper, and consumables will be supplied. This property is not suitable for young children due to its outlook and position in the landscape, there are many levels outside. Strictly no dogs as our rural neighbours have livestock. We understand that privacy is important when staying in a holiday home and we want to assure you that the outside security cameras on the property are their purely for safety and protection. These cameras are not monitored live, nor are they connected to a back to base security system. They are only reviewed in the rare event that something does go wrong, such as property damage, theft or a security concern. Registration Details STRA6124PTH2WRLG
