Whisky Library - off the grid Woodland cabin

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish, rustic space in the middle of a 3 acre bluebell and chestnut woods with floor to ceiling views of the woodland. Room only - bathroom and wash up are separate! Just outside is a table and chairs with a firepit for cooking, and a small covered area at the back. The cabin is set in the woods on our beautiful quiet campsite. Shared facilities 40 meters away. Al fresco cooking and dining equipment is included. Cooking facilities are open fire only. The space The Cabin itself is mini, but practical, with a comfortable if smallish double bed made up with fresh linen and snuggly blankets. There is a wood burning stove to heat the cabin to super toasty and boil a kettle in winter. There is a dresser, table and chairs and cabinet with books and items destined for relaxation, colouring books and chess board. The surrounding woodland is quiet, with only one or two other cabins spread well apart. The shared bathrooms are in the main hub, where you will find hot showers powered by our log burner and backed up by solar panels, ample loos and sinks. There is a washing up area and a walk in cupboard with all manner of equipment for cooking over the fire and dining outside. Equipment also includes a single burner gas camping stove which can be used at the covered counter behind your cabin. There is also a covered deck area with sofas and a cocktail bar at reception where you can also order fresh coffee, homemade bread and purchase honey from our own beehives. We can also offer a ‘table d’hote’ style home cooked vegetarian meal - £12.50 per person. For example vegetable curry with Dahl and salads, or burritos with sides.. just let us know a day or two ahead to order. We are available for friendly chatter or can stay well away and allow self check-in where required. Our small but buzzing campsite - Welsummer camping - closes at the end of September leaving winter to cabin life, and peace and quiet, to prevail for the rest of the winter.
