Getaway to the Cabin on the Cove! The space Welcome to our secluded glamorous cabin, with a splendid view! Walk out to a sandy beach on Lake Lewisville and find a hidden gem nestled in the tranquility of nature. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, our family retreat offers a unique blend of privacy and comfort, providing a sanctuary for relaxation and outdoor adventure. This newly constructed 5-star cabin, opened to guests in late May 2023, has been meticulously designed for a memorable escape with family and friends. Professionally curated by Style with Wisdom-Jennifer Wisdom, the interior boasts exquisite finishes and decor to enhance your lakeside experience. Outside, enjoy the serenity of nature from the front deck or gather around the custom fire pit, complete with all-weather Adirondack chairs. Our fully enclosed yard ensures peace of mind for pet owners, while private parking inside a gated area accommodates two vehicles. Venture onto the water with our provided kayaks and life jackets or fire up the gas grill for a lakeside BBQ. The outdoor space is thoughtfully equipped with amenities such as a gas grill, custom fire pit with grilling rack, and outdoor games like cornhole for endless entertainment. The lake access from our backyard is a highlight, offering a clean and private area for fishing and swimming. Swim safely in our shallow, sand-covered cove, or simply bask in the sun on the rocky point, perfect for capturing memorable moments. Inside, the cabin offers cozy accommodations with a king bed in the master bedroom and a bunk bed with a full lower and twin upper in the second bedroom. A modern bathroom with a walk-in glass shower provides a spa-like retreat after a day on the lake. For additional guests, the sofa pull-out in the family gathering room offers extra sleeping space, while a second fully tiled half bathroom with exterior porch access ensures convenience. A full-sized laundry room with washer and dryer, complete with laundry essentials, and a Brita filtering water pitcher add to the comforts of home. Guest access The Cabin on the Cove is its own place, with its own fenced-in yard, parking, firepit, and access to the lake. One supply closet for our housekeeper is locked and not accessible. The Pavilion, seen in some of the exterior photos belongs to the House on the Rock, which can be booked in conjunction with the Cabin on the Cove, when available. But, the Pavilion is not accessible for Cabin on the Cove guests unless booked with the House on the Rock, next door. Other things to note We offer a pet-friendly space, but require that pets be house-trained and not get into our beds or bedding. The sofa must be covered with “guest provided” coverings for pets to access. Their humans must be responsible for cleaning up daily after them both in the yard and at the lake areas. NOTE: If poo is found in the yard after check-out, a $50 added poo clean up fee is assessed by housekeeping, which we pass on to the guests. We allow pets, but must keep these areas free from pet poo for others that want to enjoy the areas too. Pets must be on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives (there are mosquitos at the lake!). Up-to-date vaccinations are required and vet proof must be sent to the host, prior to arrival. All pets must be listed as well as, all guests, on the reservation. There is an $85 per pet fee for the Cabin on the Cove. Pets must be preapproved. This is a lake house and there are insects in the area which come naturally with the lake environment. GREAT NEWS! July 2025: we added a misting system that mists for 15 seconds at 2am and 4am outside to prevent spiders, webs, gnats, white flies and mosquitos near the home, and front porch. It is non toxic to humans and pets. However, please be prepared with bug spray and sunscreen for the fire pit and lake area. Keep doors to the home closed as much as possible to keep flies and other bugs outside. Open doors can also cause the AC to freeze up and the heat not to work well. Keep doors to the home closed to prevent bugs and temperature issues. An ambient, electric, color-changing fireplace is in the living room. It can be set to produce heat or not, for year-round use. The covered Pavilion, seen in some of the exterior photos belongs to the House on the Rock, which can be booked in conjunction with the Cabin on the Cove when available. But, the Pavilion is not accessible for Cabin on the Cove guests unless booked with the House on the Rock, next door. The large fire-pit on the property of the Cabin on the Cove is for the private use of guests staying at this property. Sleeping arrangements: there is a king bed in the master bedroom (2 people), a full size bed with twin over it, (bunk) in secondary bedroom (3 people), a sofa bed in the living room (1-2 people) and an optional, nice, twin air mattress with bedding (1 person, upon request in advance as we keep it locked in the supply closet unless needed).
