On a meadow's edge, Blackberry Bend offers a joyous and calming setting inside and out. Open year round, Robert Frost Mountain Cabins offers 7 fully furnished, artisan-crafted cabins at a picturesque & secluded setting in the Green Mtn National Forest. A true getaway of rustic charm and contemporary comforts! This award-winning, licensed, regulated & Health Dept inspected lodging establishment consistently receives a Sparkling Clean rating on AirBnB and 5 stars for cleanliness on TripAdvisor. Wild blackberries have taken up residence on the remnants of a stonewall from the early 1900’s and are a short distance from the back door of Cabin #3 - Blackberry Bend. The warm and rich Mayan Gold walls in this cabin’s kitchen and living room make this our most cheerfully decorated cabin. Blackberry Bend has two bedrooms – one with a queen-size bed and one with twin beds (optional conversion to king-size bed for a nominal fee). The living room futon with innerspring mattress folds out for an additional full size bed. This cabin includes our signature Swedish nook with a 36” wide window to bring the sunshine in. Parking is available right in front of your cabin. We live on the property and will be here to make sure that your needs are met while also respecting your privacy. Forgot charcoal? We've got it. Want help choosing a hiking trail? We're happy to give you first hand advice. Looking for a place to get local meats or produce? We know the best places! But we also respect your privacy and recognize that you may just be here for peace and quiet, solitude or quality time together. We won't be offended if you just want time alone. Nestled on 112 acres in the Green Mountain National Forest, Robert Frost Mountain Cabins are located “off the beaten path” on a well maintained gravel road in quaint Ripton, VT - summer home of renowned poet, Robert Frost. Our half mile long driveway is just long enough to leave your cares behind. The cabins are also just a short drive from the beautiful village of Middlebury (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) - home to Middlebury College. The college's downtown and Bread Loaf campuses are both less than 10 miles away. And the town has something for everybody - museums, historic sites, restaurants, music, art, shopping, Tasting Trail, hiking trails and more. For outdoor enthusiasts, nearby trails, ski centers, rivers and lakes offer an abundance of fun recreational opportunities throughout the year. Rental cars and taxis are available from the Burlington airport. Or ask us - we may be able to give you a lift! - Robert Frost Mountain Cabins is a licensed, regulated and inspected lodging property.
