Immerse yourself in Cherokee history by staying in this historic Smoke House built around 1840. ..before the Civil war or Oklahoma statehood. Recently remodeled with all mod cons this secluded cottage in Tahlequah provides cozy comfort and convenience. Located in a charming secluded garden. This unique smoke house with a brick tower will make you dream of the old Indian Territory it was built in. Close to the bypass with a 5 minute drive to downtown, you'll find this convenient to all Tahlequah has to offer from the Cherokee Heritage Center, to the Illinois River for rafting, or the hospitals and university. You will have access to the whole smokehouse and the pavillion outside for outdoor dinning or enjoying the garden. Don't forget to say hello to the chickens. You will need a car to access the plentiful restaurants, and town shopping or to go to the lake or river. There is plenty of off street parking. Your entrance is the same as the Blue Feather Bed and Breakfast and you may use the covered parking if it is available. You may see the hostess around the grounds. Feel free to chat or ask questions. You will need your car although there are some great hiking spots in our area. Enjoy small town Tahlequah where the people are friendly and distances are short. Parking is seldom a problem and friendships are easy to make.
