Experience the peaceful Washington countryside at this picturesque getaway where you can walk trails, unwind on the porch, and pass your time on a quiet family farm. This sprawling 3000 sqft 2-story home offers guests 3BR personal gym and hot tub! Visitors will love the fully stocked kitchen, outside living areas, and relaxed spacious home. Pet friendly $35 per night per pet This farm is a lovely destination for a group of friends or family. Everyone will have plenty of space to spread out in the three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Guests have several areas to gather throughout the home and outside areas. This is a unique stay on a working farm with the surrounding area and buildings utilized as a dog-training business. This countryside farm home offers a sprawling 3000 sq ft of comfy living space. The bright and cheerful house has hardwood floors throughout and plenty of light flooding through the windows to create an open and airy ambiance. Downstairs there is a charming living room with a TV, plush leather recliners and couch, and touches of down-home welcoming decor. There is a second living room upstairs between two bedrooms where guests can watch TV, or have a quiet workspace. On a chilly evening, guests can make a fire in the wood-burning stove and read a book in the fireside barrel chairs. There is a full home gym with free weights and fitness equipment that guests can utilize during their stay. Next to the kitchen, the large dining table can accommodate six with additional seating at the counter stools. Visitors will be pleased with the fully stocked kitchen at their disposal. This kitchen has everything! Guests will have access to spices, cooking utensils, an air fryer/convection oven, a blender, a toaster, a K-cup coffee maker, a mixer, a double oven, and an induction stovetop. There is a large double-door fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and microwave as well. Whether you are cooking for a couple or a group, you'll be well-equipped in a cook's dream kitchen. Guests will have use of the laundry room with a washer/dryer and iron/ironing board. The primary ensuite bedroom is located off the dining room on the first floor. There is an inviting queen-size sleigh bed and seating area with a lounge chair and footrest. French doors open to the spacious bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, shower, and double sink vanity. Bedrooms two and three, each with queen beds, are located upstairs, and share a second full bath with shower/tub and single sink vanity. Outside this expansive home, the alfresco living space is abundant with a wrap-around covered porch where guests can soak in the country setting. The porch is covered with clear roofing panels so the sun shines through but protects from the weather. Outside, guests will find seating areas, a dining table, two BBQs- one pellet, one charcoal, a hot tub, and a fire pit to enjoy evening fires under the stars. If you are traveling with a furry companion, there is an outside fenced pen. Guest access A code to the keyless entry system will be provided. Other things to note Welcome to the Granderson Family Farm Here are some benefits of staying in our home. Inside there is a FULLY stocked kitchen with lots of spices, cooking pots and pans, bowls to stir, appliances to apply, a microwave, large refrigerator with a small freezer, and an oven that can split into two separate ovens. It is also an air fryer and convection oven. The stove top is induction which, from my experience, is almost like cooking on gas! Washer and Dryer in the laundry room. Must Love Dogs. The barn and surrounding areas are used for dog training and are off limits to guests (see diagram). If you are not familiar with barn training, feel free to walk out when the trainer, Alanna, is there giving lessons and watch. She will happily answer questions when she is not busy. If you aren’t a dog person, don’t worry. The doggies are required to be always on leash unless they are in the barn, or fenced field, and actively training. Must Love Dogs is also a great movie! The outside deck wraps almost entirely around the house and is covered with a clear roofing product. The deck outside the dining area on the North of the house has both charcoal and pellet BBQs, comfortable deck chairs, hot tub, and is a great place to hang out with family and friends. The yard has a firepit for smokey evening smores. There is a pen on the North side of the garage for dogs ( non-barking please) in case you need to leave your buddy for a short run to the store. There is plenty of parking in front of the garage. On the East side of the property is a slender strip of trees that younger kids have enjoyed exploring. Hiking. Approximately one mile North of the house on Stottlemyer is 4000 acres of well-maintained trails. Map signs dot the trail system, or you can download a trail app for your phone. You will find hikers, mountain bikers, and horses sharing the trails with you. Keyword for research “Kitsap hiking trails”. Poulsbo. The town of Poulsbo is situated on the water, about a 10-minute drive away. It has a Bavarian theme and one of the best bakeries, Sluys, in the state. You’ll recognize it by the long line on the sidewalk. Lots of shops, restaurants on the water (and not), and wonderful art galleries. You can picnic in the park next to the marina and while the day away dreaming of bigger boats. Seattle. The city of Seattle is a wonderful 30-minute foot ferry (no cars) ride from Kingston across Puget Sound. On a clear day there are spectacular views of Mt. Baker to the North and Mt. Rainer to the South. The ferry drops you on the waterfront almost in the center of town. Explore the waterfront by foot, or Uber/Lift/Taxi into town, although the more aerobic folk can walk the hills. Downtown Seattle is only blocks away. Don’t forget the Seattle Center, the Chihuly glass art display there, and the Seattle Art Museum in town. Definitely visit the historic Public Market to catch a salmon and visit the first Starbucks location across the street with the original logo out front. No smoking in the house. We are not smokers and can tell immediately, as can our other non-smoking guests. Smoke outside on the covered deck. Violating this rule will result in the loss of a portion of your deposit as we attempt to get the odor out. Pets Pets are great! We have a wonderful cat (he thinks so) and we have trained him not to scratch the furniture. Generally, cats are the most destructive guests with their sharp claws. We allow dogs on the COVERED furniture. Please use the doggy blankets we provide. Nothing better than cuddling with your buddies and watching re-runs of the Puppy Bowl in the evening. Important Note: Guest gives permission to the property manager to use a third-party to screen my identity and check criminal databases to confirm my reservation.  Complete terms regarding the guest screening can be provided by the property manager. You may receive an email to complete your screening. Please check your spam inbox for this email and contact the property manager if you have any questions. _________________________________________ Enjoy your stay! Grant and Kimberley A code to the keyless entry system will be provided. A stay at this countryside home will provide guests with a variety of ways to spend their time. Quiet privacy in a spacious and peaceful setting, close to an extensive hiking trail network, a short drive to the quaint small town of Poulsbo, and easy access to take the ferry to Seattle and experience the city! Guests will be within a short drive to visit charming surrounding coastal towns. Just to the north are the Kitsap Trails. There you will find 4000 acres of well-maintained trails attracting hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. The Stottlemeyer Trailhead is less than a mile from the home. There are hiker-only and biker-only designated trails and varying degrees of difficulty. Visitors can get out for a day of trails and cap it off with a soothing hot tub or jacuzzi soak back at the house! If you head north from the house, you can enjoy a beautiful drive with the Port Gamble Forest on one side and Port Gamble shore on the other. In tiny Port Gamble, be sure to visit the sweet Port Gamble General Store and Cafe, a 6.4-mile drive from the property. Poulsbo is a 10-minute drive to the Southwest. It is a Bavarian-themed coastal village with a host-recommended bakery that is a must-visit stop. Sluys will have a line out the door but it's worth the wait, touted as one of the best bakeries in the state! There are plenty of other options in Poulsbo with art galleries, shops, and restaurants. The Liberty Bay Waterfront Park is a great place to picnic with views of the bay and Mount Rainier. From downtown Kingston, a passenger ferry is a 30-minute ride to Seattle. On a clear day, passengers will enjoy views of Mount Baker to the north and Mount Rainier to the south. The ferry has five departure times and runs on weekdays. Passengers will be dropped near the Seattle city center with access to walk or take public transportation and see the sites and attractions. The top host recommended visits include the Chihuly glass art display at Seattle Center and the Seattle Art Museum. Visitors won't want to miss the historic Public Market to catch an airborne salmon and grab a coffee at the very first Starbucks location across the street. The ferry makes for easy access to Seattle for day trips and peaceful quiet evenings back at the farm. Safeway in Poulsbo: 3.9 miles Safeway in Kingston: 4.2 miles Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA): 75 miles The property is tucked away on a quiet country road but is easily accessed via Hwys 104 or 305 from the Seattle area. Guests will want a personal vehicle to explore the region, but if taking the passenger ferry to Seattle, public transportation is abundant and easy to access.
