The space You’ll feel right at home in the twin guest room. With simple and serene details that remind you of your spiritual journey, the room sits at the top of the stairs, right near the reading nook and across the hall from the common bathroom. You’ll see evergreen trees and woodland nature when you peek out the window, with that theme echoed throughout the room. Guest access From this room you will have access to a shared bathroom, kitchen and dining space, and a lovely, heated living room. Help yourself to the use of the community fridge, large enough to accommodate any foods or snacks you may bring along with you. The Rec Room at Hidden Bear is available for guests to enjoy in a separate building from the lodge. This way anyone who wishes to have a quiet space to read, watch a movie, or turn in early can do so without having to worry about hearing the revelry involved in a game of pool, foosball, poker, board games, or just cheering on a winning team streamed on the TV. The Rec Room also has a kitchenette complete with a refrigerator, sink, and counter, coffee pot, and a BBQ right outside the door. It is located on the ground floor of the Retreat Center just across the parking lot from the Lodge. Outside the main lodge guests may also enjoy a large raised deck with comfy chairs, 2 firepits fully stocked with wood to gather around with friends, both new and old. Get a few of those friends together for a great game of volleyball on the sandy court near the Retreat Center or enjoy a stroll in the fields or trails out front. Inside the main lodge kids and adults will have some fun in the second-floor family playroom. At the end of the hall is a room with all manner of games that can be played on the center table or in the miniature tipi. The TVs in the Lodge, Rec Room, and Upper living space are all equipped with devices to stream for entertainment. Other things to note Hidden Bear Retreat Center is a non-profit organization that was created to provide a space for spiritual growth and holistic education. The facility is available to outside groups or individuals who have programs to teach or want a place to explore their individual journey. The Bear is a symbol for healing and protectiveness in many native cultures. Guests will see representations of this healing energy “hidden” throughout the facility. Keep your eye out for them!
