Local trails are adjacent to the subdivision making a stay at Kozy Kave very convenient to trails without having to trailer to a trailhead! Deadwood is just under 15 minutes away with taxi service, where you can enjoy the local festivals, great restaurants, and some local gambling. Spearfish Canyon is only 5 minutes away with great fishing, waterfalls, and wonderful hikes! Local wildlife frequents the area as well which is always a treat! You can also be taking in the sites at Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park, Sylvan lake, and Black Elk Peak in about an hour's drive from the cabin. After your days exploring and enjoying the Black Hills, coming back to your own sanctuary is sure to build some group excitement. Everything is brand new in the cabin and waiting for your vacation enjoyment. There's a large covered deck off the main living area where you can watch the local wildlife and gaze at the stars to your heart's desire. The lower living area is expansive and great for entertaining as well. With a large living area with flat-screen TV and a game room with Ping Pong table, it's a great place to enjoy with your family and friends! The property is located on a lot, so you have parking available at the property. Property access information will be delivered within the week of your arrival, but it's typically sent the night before arrival. I live near the property and would be happy to suggest local attractions and things to do/see to prepare for your trip. There are so many things to enjoy, please let me know if I can help point you in the right direction. The property is close to Deadwood, SD where you can find local restaurants, historic casinos, and exciting events all year long. The property is also near the ATV/Snowmobile trails in the area and within minutes to the local ski resort – Terry Peak. Spearfish Canyon can be accessed with a short drive, and to venture out further through a scenic drive you can be at Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Needles Highway, and Custer State Park within an hour. Don’t forget about Badlands National Park – a wondrous location a little over an hour's drive away from the property to the East. Taxi’s run to and from the property to Deadwood/Lead and operate until the early hours of the morning on weekends. We would be happy to recommend some taxi options if you would like a ride to the local festivities. When the local trails are open, you will find it’s easy to access the property and local amenities while riding your ATV/UTV or snowmobiles. Just remember if you’re riding them on the road, you need an active license plate for the vehicle. If you’re planning to ride your snowmobiles/ATV’s on the local trail system, a permit is required from the Black Hills National Forest. We'd be happy to direct you where to purchase them!
