This 2 br/2ba cabin with its large rocking chair front porch is modern and spacious, yet has all the cozy charm of a traditional Blue Ridge mountains log cabin. There are many things to love about this cabin- the location is just one of them. Just 2 miles from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest, Glade Creek cabin is on a large piece of property at the end of a state-maintained road in a quiet, rural, residential area. You'll enjoy the view from one of the rocking chairs on the spacious porch. Lots of windows fill the cabin with natural light. Enjoy comfortable, tasteful furnishings, a wonderful outdoor fire circle, and an indoor electric fireplace provides cozy ambiance. We even have a little library with plenty of hiking, local interest, children, and just-for-fun books. You will have the whole cabin, parking, and about an acre of surrounding property to yourselves. You may also enjoy the larger 5 acre property, which is shared with 2-3 campsites we operate as part of Pisgah Forest Mountain Meadows with Glade Creek running through the middle. Our personal home is on a separate 2 acre parcel of property across the road from Glade Creek Cabin's 5 acre property. Theres quite a bit of space and privacy between, but we are close by and available to help with any issues that may arise. The neighborhood is right of Hwy 64 just 2 miles from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest, and Forest Gate Shopping Center. Cycling shops, outfitters, groceries, local breweries are all a very short drive from the cabin. Downtown Brevard is 5 miles from the cabin, less than a 15 minute drive. Dupont State Forest is about 20 minutes away, and Asheville Regional Airport is a 15 minute drive. Guests may walk around the 5 acre property, down to the creek, and through the wooded portions. Due to Hwy 64, a larger busy highway being the main route its recommended folks plan on having a vehicle to make the short drive to nearby trails and attractions.
