Forest View Cabin

Description

Here In the beautiful Forest of Dean, we are so fortunate to have thousands of acres of forest nestled between the Wye Valley AONB and the Severn Estuary. It’s a special place with a rich history, scenic landscapes, friendly people and many outdoor pursuits. Forest View Cabin is perfectly placed for exploring. At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, it’s a peaceful hillside location set in a half-acre garden at the Old Cottage. The log style cabin enjoys panoramic views of the woods and garden. The space This small cabin has two separate areas of your own decking, one at cabin level with table and chairs and another below the cabin with comfortable arm chairs. There are often lovely sunsets and the evening light is pretty. Inside the cabin has two rooms. The bedroom has a king size oak frame bed and en-suite shower room with toilet and sink. It also has a small sitting area, adjustable wall mounted TV, and electric log burner style stove for chillier evenings. The kitchen has a bar style table looking out over the views and also includes counter top cooker with oven and hob, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, fridge with freezer compartment, and everything you will need. We have off road parking. The inclined gravel tracks are a little narrow, and may not suit a van. We are very happy to welcome your dog. Just to note the cabin is more suited to small dogs, if you have a large dog it may feel a bit of a squeeze! Other things to note There is a local shop just a short two-minute walk away and the town of Cinderford is two miles away with supermarket, butchers, pharmacy, post office, health food shop etc. There are many nice cafes and pubs around the area. Nature and wildlife are abundant and we have nature reserves, walking trails, lakes, arboretums, and views. The Forest is beautiful at all times of the year, in the spring with the emerging leaves and bluebells, and with fantastic colours in the autumn. The Dean Heritage centre is a couple of miles away and there are many picnic areas. Other local attractions include Go-Ape, Symonds Yat Rock, Dean Forest Steam Railway, Clearwell Caves, Puzzle Wood, Hopewell Colliery, the Sculpture Trail, Tintern Abbey and the Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo to mention a few. Outdoor pursuits include canoeing, cycling, climbing and walking. There is so much to see and to do! We are sure you will enjoy your stay here.
