The house is a century old 3 story frame construction in a victorian tradition. Urban Cottage is the entire 6 room 1st floor of the house: front bedroom, full bath, living room, full eat-in kitchen, and back bedroom with a half bath. This first floor unit is private with its own entry. The second and third floors of this lovely house are a separate apartment. Guests have access to the entire 1st floor, 6 room space. No access to the garage. Access to the basement is restricted at this time. Full access to the small porch deck at the entry. The hedged-in pet friendly yard is shared with the upstairs tenants. Host and co-hosts Liz, Ken and Maddy interact mostly through the AirBnB App. We've found that different guests have different expectations with respect to host engagement. We adjust our approach to suit the needs and preferences of our guests. We do have occasion to reach out and inform guests that yard work might be happening today, or the handyman may be accessing the garage or basement (but not accessing the 1st floor apartment). Driveway fits 2 cars end to end. The corner lot offers street free parking on both side and front of the property. But please don't park in front of the fire hydrant. Access to Oakland's Universities and Medical facilities is only a 14 minute drive. Take a break from driving! Recently renamed, Pittsburgh Regional Transit is the local bus service. On their website click ‘plan your trip’ then the map icon to find a route from this address to your destination. ZTrip is the city’s taxi service, and Uber/Lyft service the area.
