The Red Shed, Hawstead offers a quirky, rural and peaceful stay yet a matter of minutes from Bury St Edmunds. A Kingsize bed, en-suite shower room, well equipped kitchen and cosy sitting room with log burner are simply, yet comfortably furnished . Set in a peaceful Suffolk village with a coffee shop/cafe, artisan bakery nearby and local village pubs. The Red Shed has a sunny private garden, and private parking. The space The Red Shed is a unique single storey property, siting within its own private garden. You enter the property through the well appointed, triple aspect kitchen breakfast room which provides seating for 4 people at the antique pine table. The kitchen is well equipped, with fresh & instant coffee, V60 coffee filter, a microwave oven, Fan oven and a great selection of cooking utensils and kitchenware. Fresh eggs (when laying) from the my pet hens, homemade biscuits, milk, sparkling water, a vase of flowers from the garden in spring and summer, plus a decanter of whisky for your nightcap. If you’re staying for a week I’ll provide bread from our local artisan bakery, ‘The Friendly Loaf’. The sitting room overlooks the garden, and is comfortably furnished with a large sofa, mid century rocking chair, table lamps and reading lamp, a wood burning stove along with a good supply of logs and kindling. There is also a good selection of reading books, a smart HD tv, games and Bluetooth speaker. The double aspect bedroom is simply furnished, with a King -size iron bed, feather pillows and duvet, linen bedding, bedside tables & charger points, a chest of drawers with hairdryer, coat hooks & hangers. An en-suite walk in shower with hand held, and rain showerheads, basin with a large backlit mirror including phone and toothbrush charger. Bath, and hand towels are provided. There is plenty of space inside the property, along with an extra, lockable shed outside housing the freezer (ice provided) bikes and muddy boots or anything else you don’t want to take into the living quarters. When the sun shines there are sunny spots in the garden, with outside seating, lovely walks to be had, good cycling locally, and plenty of history in beautiful historic Bury St Edmunds and Lavenham. Guest access This is purely your property with no shared space, you have a private garden and parking space. Key lock-box for easy access too.. Other things to note There is parking outside the property, and space opposite for any visitors. The double garage is in use so please keep it clear.. the shed next door to The Red Shed is big enough for your bicycles, and boots. It also has a freezer with ice for your G&T, outside cushions and The Red Shed honey ‘For Sale’ Mobile signal in Hawstead isn’t great (unless Vodaphone) but that might be part of the appeal to escape!
