Newly remodeled 5-bedroom (note: 1 bedroom doubles as an office), 3-bath home - walking distance to the Mountain Terrace wedding venue, Alice's Restaurant, and 10 minutes from Sand Hill Road in Palo Alto. Can accommodate up to 12 guests to comfortably sleep. NOTE: We do allow gatherings, events, and parties to be held on-site for a fee; please message us for approval. There is a wrap-around deck and expansive living room with 85" flat screen TV. There is fast 1gig internet. The space This is a 1-acre property; the backyard has a walking pathway that leads directly to the parking lot of The Mountain Terrace and the famous Alice's Restaurant. There is a 4-car garage on site for guests to use, and 3 smaller parking lots near the lower and upper driveway. The master suite includes a king size bed, and can accommodate 2 additional air mattresses (guests will need to bring your own). There is an XL walk-in closet. The downstairs den has a queen size sofa bed. It also has an en-suite newly remodeled bathroom. There is a hallway with floor-to-ceiling windows that leads to 3 additional bedrooms and 1 bathroom. All 3 bedrooms have queen size beds. There are 2 pack-and-play cribs available. There are two family rooms (one with a queen size sofa bed), a formal dining room, and a kitchen with the best appliances Bosch offers . There is a large empty shed for guests to store additional supplies if needed. Fast, high-speed internet is included! Other things to note EXTERNAL CAMERAS We have exterior Ring cameras on the property for your security and peace of mind. WEATHER Please take a look at the weather forecast before you head out. Our listing photos were captured on sunny summer days when the sun is at its highest. If your visit falls during a different season, the forest will likely feel more rugged, misty, and moody. We cannot guarantee that the outside of the property will look exactly like the photos if it is raining or overcast during your stay. NATURE DISCLAIMER Being tucked directly under a massive redwood canopy means the line between inside and outside is very thin. These trees are beautiful but active neighbors. They drop needles, twigs, and forest dust around the clock. While we keep the indoors pristine for you, the outdoor spaces are governed by the wind and the changing seasons. You might arrive to find a fresh dusting of debris or a damp deck. We embrace this wild look as part of the authentic forest experience. Because the canopy is so dense, the sun rarely hits the ground directly. This keeps the air crisp and the deck cool and moist most of the year. We highly recommend bringing a pair of outdoor slippers or slip-on shoes so you can comfortably pop outside for coffee or stargazing. FOREST NEIGHBORS You are also sharing this space with the local residents. It is very common to spot a family of deer, raccoons, or possums passing through the yard, and the lucky guest might even catch a glimpse of a bobcat or grey fox. While they are beautiful to watch from the deck, please remember they are wild. We ask that you enjoy them from a distance and never leave food outside. If you are looking for a manicured, pavement-only stay, this might not be the spot for you. But if you want to truly immerse yourself in a living ecosystem, you are in the right place.
