Dozens of vineyards and breweries within a few miles, minutes from Skyline Drive and UVA, and a short walk away from restaurants, trails, golf, and playgrounds! This modern and well-equipped getaway is in the planned community of Old Trail, surrounded by forested mountains. A quiet and family-friendly neighborhood, it is centrally-located within the east coast's version of Napa Valley, national parks/hikes/drives, and just outside the city of Charlottesville. The mountains are calling! Located on the lower/basement level of our home, this space has a separate entrance and it's own parking spot. The apartment rooms are a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, closet, and living space. The sunny windows in the living space and bedroom provide a bright and airy atmosphere, and smart TV's are mounted in each of these rooms. The space is conditioned and the central thermostat is located on another floor of the home. We are happy to adjust temperatures as needed and there is a faux fireplace in the apartment that produces real heat in addition to cozy "flames." Parking for our space is in the driveway. We can accommodate 4 guests in the apartment, but a maximum of 2 vehicles. A separate entrance for the apartment is located on the side of the house, stepping stones and a lit path lead you to the door. You will enter an atrium area and descend four steps to the apartment door. Within the apartment is one additional locked door that leads to the remainder of the lower floor, it locks from both sides for your comfort. Please feel free to message, text, or email me! A planned community, Old Trail is a beautiful, quiet, and fairly new neighborhood. It is full of sidewalks, a coffee shop, 3-4 restaurants, and a publicly accessible golf course. Our loop of the neighborhood is quiet and family-friendly, with lots of children, retirees, leashed dogs, and friendly smiles. Only 2 miles away is downtown Crozet, where you can find more restaurants, coffee and ice cream, a grocery store, and a handful of charming shops. Pro Re Nata Brewery is just a 1 mile drive and Kings Family Vineyard is only 3 miles away, with over a dozen other vineyards and breweries within a few miles radius. Our neighborhood is very pedestrian friendly, with slow road speeds and sidewalks. Parking for our rental is required to be in the driveway of our home. The Crozet Trolley provides popular wine/beer tours of the area and picks up in Crozet Square, only 2 miles from our home. This can be walked via sidewalks (30-45mins) or there is plenty of parking near the Square (please see their website for the most recent pick-up details within the Square). The Crozet West CONNECT bus picks up near the Old Trail Village Center and has multiple stops in Charlottesville, including the University of Virginia Grounds. The couch pulls out to a full sized bed with a memory foam mattress, please let us know if you’ll be using this so we can leave out bedding. Available upon request is a very comfortable cot that sleeps an adult or child, as well as a pack-n-play.
