Lakeside Loft

Welcome to our beautiful Lakeside Loft. A private space to unwind at the lake and recharge. Situated on majestic Manitoulin Island, just a short drive from Little Current. Enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets from your private deck with access to the lake and dock. Explore the Island's natural trails, restaurants and local shops, whatever you choose there are plenty of ways to enjoy your stay on and around this magnificent island! The space The Lakeside Loft is located a short distance from Little Current in a quiet waterfront neighbourhood. It is a newly renovated second storey apartment attached to our home but with its own private entrance and deck where you can enjoy a morning coffee or a sunset dinner. Inside you will find a cozy living room with a reading nook. There is a Smart TV with free Wifi for your Netflix or Prime accounts etc should you choose. The loft kitchen has a fridge, stove microwave, toaster and coffee pot. Dishes, pans and utensils as well as some basic oils and spices are provided for your culinary needs There is a quaint 2 person table or breakfast bar for your meal preference. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed extra linens and blankets provided, 2 side tables, a dresser and closet. A 3 piece bathroom is located off the bedroom. Guest access Guests will have full access to the yard, beach and dock. A fire pit is located on the beach for guests to use. Fires will not be permitted during windy conditions or when there is a Municipal/Provincial Fire ban in effect. Other things to note The loft is attached to our home but there is no access from the main house into the apartment. The unit has been sound proofed but on occasion slight noises may be heard from the main side of the home as we have two children (ages 10,14) and a golden retriever. We will do our best to keep these noises to an absolute minimum. The apartment will not be entered by the host unless requested by the guest or there is an emergency. As the loft is a second storey apartment there is no wheel chair access. As a point of interest we have one honey bee hive located on the opposite side of the residence away from the loft. When quantities allow, guests will be able to purchase our wildflower honey in addition to maple syrup that we produce at our nearby lavender farm.
