Sandy Dunes

Our home on Jekyll Island, Sandy Dunes, accommodates up to 9 people, is family friendly, a 3 min. drive to Driftwood Beach, and less than a 5 min. walk to the wide open beaches of Great Dunes. It is located 20 minutes from Brunswick, GA, and 1hr north of the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX). Jekyll Island is full of amazing beauty and great history. From its wild marshes and sandy beaches, to its miles of trails and sweeping Spanish moss filled trees; it is a treasure to behold. The space Sandy Dunes is comfortable and family friendly. The living room offers plenty of seating for guests and one couch opens into a queen sized bed to accommodate 2 guests. The dining room table has a leaf that allows all guests a place at the table. The master bedroom is located on the 1st floor, where you'll find a king size bed. The 1st floor is also where the smallest of the four bedrooms is located, with a twin bed. The 2nd floor is where you will find two more bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. The front bedroom walks out onto the balcony, and the back bedroom has a vibrant painting of Jekyll Island's Faith Chapel hanging, which is the work of a well-known local artist. Sandy Dunes is located on the corner of Forrest Avenue and Ogden Street on Jekyll Island. The balcony overlooks a grassy lot which is filled with deer in the early morning and evening hours. It is a clean and peaceful neighborhood that offers less than a five minute walk to the ocean beaches of Great Dunes, so there's no need to fight for parking. Guest access Guests may access the entire upstairs and downstairs of 3B, the upstairs balcony, the back yard, 3B's front porch and front yard, and the private driveway for 3B off of Ogden Street. The garage is not available to guests at this time. Other things to note Sandy Dunes offers some beach items for your use. You will find a labeled tote full of "Beach Towels" so you will have towels for the beach without sacrificing your soft, clean bath towels. The laundry room closet stores four beach chairs, a large cooler, an insulated cooler bag, sand toys for children (& adults 😊), a sunshade, an umbrella, and a large folding beach wagon that is perfect for filling up and walking to the beach. If you stay inside to let a storm pass through, there are playing cards and a few board games in the cabinet under the Jekyll Island sign in the living room.
