The Creek House is a beautiful and cozy home, rustically inspired yet has a delightfully modern interior. Enjoy this 2 bedroom home nestled in the mountains of scenic and serene Garrett County MD. Sit out on the back porch to relax and listen to the peaceful creek at the rear of the property. We think you will enjoy the location with Deep Creek Lake, The Wisp Ski Resort and many other local attractions mere minutes away. There is no shortage of activities to enjoy here regardless of the season. The space This is a perfect location for a small family or group of friends wanting to refresh, relax and recharge. There are two bedrooms, along with the main living area that has an open feel. The cozy living room has WiFi and a TV with a Dish account provided. There are several movies stored in the DVR for your enjoyment. For your entertainment there are also books, board games, and puzzles. To keep you at ease the house is equipped with a backup generator. The fully stocked kitchen allows you to cook your meals whenever you don't want to take advantage of the numerous local restaurants. Feel free to walk back and take in the delightful ambiance of the area right on the banks of Bear Creek. It is perfect for a creek walk, splashing, or fishing (the creek stocked seasonally with trout). Use the large outdoor space to enjoy the mountain air, have a campfire using the provided fire pit, or let the kids just run. It is a stunning and peaceful place to relax and get back to nature. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole space except the garage. Other things to note We think you will enjoy the location of The Creek House, with Deep Creek Lake, and The Wisp Ski Resort/Golf course/Whitewater Adventure complex a mere 10 miles up the road. Or check out the picturesque Swallow Falls for the day, 17 miles away in Oakland MD. The colors in the fall from Autumn Glory are simply breathtaking. If you are here in the winter seasons, you can expect a lovely blanket of snow and frequent snowfall. The town of Friendsville MD is just a few short miles down the road and if you are an avid rafter or kayak-er that is great news for you. The towns of Accident and McHenry are a stone’s throw away and offer a great variety of some the best dining establishments around! Several highly regarded golf courses are also local to the area. So whether you are into water skiing on the lake, or snow skiing/snowboarding at the Wisp, cross country skiing, visiting local hiking areas, taking advantage of the great fishing in local lakes "or in the backyard via Bear Creek", want to try whitewater rafting, are an avid golfer, or just simply want a break in some of the most awe inspiring nature available in the mountains of MD, we think you will definitely be able to relax and unwind at The Creek House.
