Bear's Lair is a cozy and comfy riverfront get away. Our log home offers year-round peace and quiet. With picture windows and a great sitting porch, the river is ever present. Come and relax with the Wild & Scenic Trinity River in your front yard. Abundant recreational activities are on site (we offer inner tubes for floating the river) and the area is well known for outdoor recreation of all types. Prior approval required for pets at $50/pet. The space Bear's Lair is a two-story, 1600 square foot country home with a wood stove to keep you cozy in the winter months. The house also generally stays cool in the summertime though we have added a portable AC which does a fabulous job. We also offer numerous portable fans. The river is accessible on the property by just walking over our little foot bridge. Fishing her can be great. The beds are new and comfortable and you have fantastic river views while dining or just lounging in our comfy living room. The interior of the home has been furnished with a cabin type decor that immediately makes you feel at home. Guests have access to an outdoor shed which contains inner tubes (for floating the river) and other outdoor activities. In addition to the river there is a pond on the property and a small creek that's great for kids who want to be wet yet safe (these amenities are sometimes seasonal - depending on the winter). Guest access Guests will be able to use the entire house, as well as the outdoor backyard space and river. There is a small There is a shed on the property with corn hole, gold pan, life jackets for 6, tubes for floating, darts, 1 kids' fishing pole and extra outdoor chairs. Other things to note Bear's Lair is on a private lane road so please respect the posted speed limit at all times. Propane is provided for the outdoor BBQ. There is abundant evening wildlife so it is best not to leave any food or garbage outside. The neighborhood is very safe. Please use caution when driving down the steep driveway.
