Welcome to the Salmon Capital of the World! A newly remodeled one bedroom one bath condo in the heart of downtown. Our cozy place is located on Ketchikan's historic Front Street. The front door is just steps away from restaurants, bars, shopping, fishing, and Ketchikan's famous Creek Street! The condo is located inside the old Stedman Hotel and directly above Rain City Drugstore. The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, closet, dresser and a smart TV with many streaming platforms including Netflix and Hulu. In the living room you will find a comfy couch, recliner and a 65 inch TV. The kitchen is full size and is equipped with a coffee pot, toaster, blender, crockpot and all your basic kitchen needs. We have a queen air mattress and extra bedding available. Guests has full access of the condo and the laundry facility in the building. We are available to answer question and help and can usually respond with in an hour. You will find yourself in the heart of Ketchikan and within walking distance of all downtown has to offer! Just steps away from the ocean and breathtaking views of the Inside Passage and Deer Mountain! Right outside your doorstep you will find restaurants, bars, shops, a movie theater along with a local distillery and brewery. Make sure to take a stroll along Ketchikan's famous Creek Street and watch for salmon or harbor seals playing in the creek. The city bus is a great way to get around Ketchikan. $2 a ride or $5 for an all day pass. Not only will it get you around town it will also take you out north of town to Totem Bight State Park (totem poles and a nice wilderness and beach area to wonder around with a $5 fee) and Refuge Cove State Recreation Site. South of town it will take you to the native village of Saxman where you can tour their totem pole park for $5. There is also a free downtown shuttle that will take you as far north as the Plaza Mall where you will find a Safeway grocery store. If you have a car, there is free parking on the streets of Ketchikan. However, in the downtown area Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. is only 2 hour parking on most blocks. There is 24 hour parking in a few areas nearby and we will leave a map in the condo showing these areas. If you park for any amount of time (Monday-Friday 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.) in the 2 hour parking anywhere downtown, when you return that same day during the 8-5pm hours you will need to park on a different block or you will get a ticket. You can park in the 2 hour parking after 5pm and stay over night as long as you leave by 10 a.m. you will not get a ticket. Weekends are no worry- Saturday, Sunday and holidays are free unlimited parking.
