Description

Bask in the beautiful views, listen to the coyotes sing, commune with nature, while stargazing. Your campsite is located one mile on a dirt road from Highway 118 in Study Butte on acres of private land with a beautiful view of the Big Bend National Park, with access to hiking from the property. Five miles from the entrance of the park and five miles from Terlingua ghost town where you will find restaurants and live music. The space Camping is located one mile from highway 118 in Study Butte on a dirt road. Please camp on the right side of the road near the fire rings. If you have driven through the arroyo, you have gone too far. Guest access PLEASE honor this property as a sanctuary. There is a composting toilet on site. Please provide room between your neighbors and allow privacy. Please bring your own tent, bedding, firewood and anything else to be self sufficient. During a heavy rain, you may not have access in or out of the property, due to slippery bentonite roads. It gets extremely dark in the desert! You will need a flash light when walking around at night. This is a dark skies community. Please be mindful of your surrounding and limit your use of headlights and noise. PLEASE take your trash with you. Pack it in. Pack it out. Please do not leave your pet unattended. No fireworks or firearms. Other things to note Disclaimer for this property: Tread gently, the desert is fragile. There are plants, insects and animals that may sting, stab or stick you. Do not camp in an arroyo, due to flash flooding. You are liable for your own accidents. Stay safe!
