Enjoy the tranquillity of the French countryside at our five star Dom Peyreton cottage - The Barn - located between Bordeaux and St. Emilion.  With no nearby neighbours and views over our own vineyard to the surrounding woods, our cottage is perfect to leave the cares and noise of every-day life behind and soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a glass of something chilled in your private, heated plunge pool. Children +14 ONLY The space With no nearby neighbours and views over the vineyard to the surrounding woods, our cottage offers an ideal opportunity to leave the cares and noise of every-day life behind and soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a glassed of something chilled in your private heated plunge pool. The Barn is located deep in the Bordeaux vineyards, a short drive from the beautiful, world famous hill-top village of St. Emilion and about 800m from the local village of Villegouge where you will find a small supermarket, hairdresser and artisan boulanger for your morning croissants. Libourne, a pretty bastide town located at the confluence of the Isle and Dordogne rivers, is around 10 minutes’ drive and all the sites and attractions of the beautiful city of Bordeaux are around 30 minutes away. A day trip to Arcachon combined with a visit to the Dune du Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe and one of the most popular destinations in France is a must. All the major wine producing areas of Bordeaux (for example St. Emilion, Pomerol, Pauillac, St. Estèphe, Medoc and Margaux) are a short drive away making our cottage the perfect base to explore the wine-making properties and history of the Bordeaux region. If you are looking for exciting nightlife and a hectic social whirl then The Barn is probably not for you – If, instead, you seek peace, tranquillity and the beautiful surroundings of the Bordeaux hinterland then you should definitely come and visit us! Please note that for stays shorter than 4 days there is a cleaning fee to add of 80 euros. Those guests booking for 4 or more nights have the cleaning cost included in the overall charge.
