PEI Vacation Home with a Private Lake

Welcome to Belle River! Our 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house is fully equipped with everything you might need year-round, including a private lake just for you to enjoy! Perfect for family getaways and nature lovers, with close proximity to all amenities. After the beach or golf, relax in the waterside bunkie to watch the wildlife, or bike the adjacent Confed trail, then jump off the dock! Spend your evenings by the firepit or cooking a gourmet meal. We love this place and hope you will too! The space Our spacious, fully-equipped home is located on a 50-acre property, surrounded by wooded areas, a large backyard and garden, as well as a fully private 15-acre lake steps from the front verandah. Welcome, families and nature lovers! The House: With 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, our house is ideal for families, a couples’ getaway, or reuniting with friends. For those who like to cook, we are equipped with a gas range, gas line Weber barbeque, and a stocked kitchen. The dining table seats 6 comfortably, and is adjacent the wood pellet stove for cozy drinks before dinner. The spacious living room (the “Lodge”) offers plenty of lounging opportunities with two large couches and additional seating, wall-to-wall windows with water view, and a propane fireplace perfect for relaxing movie viewing sessions. The master bedroom features a king bed, walkout sliding doors leading to the front verandah, views of the lake, two walk-in closets, and a newly-renovated master bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed, a walk-in closet, water views and a guest bathroom down the hallway. In the third bedroom, guests have the top floor of the house to themselves, with a queen bed, desk, great views of the property (both water and garden sides), and an en-suite 3 piece bathroom with soaker tub. The Water: Our house is situated beside a small fresh-water spring-fed lake. Our 25 foot dock gives you a perfect launch pad for taking a plunge or tying up the water toys. Enjoy a peaceful kayak around the perimeter, explore the small central island from the water, or just let yourself drift with the current. The Bunkie is a great water-side retreat, whether you want to take a break from the sun, watch the sunset with drink in hand, or corral the kids. We have 2 kayaks, pool noodles and several floaties available for guest use. Please note we take very good care of the lake and associated wildlife; as such we do not allow fishing, power boats or any form of pollution/littering and expect our guests will also treat it with care. The local eagles, osprey, cormorants, ducks, mink, rabbits, frogs, songbirds, and fish will thank you! The Trail: Across from our house you will find the Confederation Trail (or the ‘Rail Trail’). The trail offers hundreds of kilometres for walking, biking, running, you name it (although no gas powered vehicles are permitted). From our front step, the Trail is a 1-minute walk. The Garden: On the south side of the house, we have a large deck that leads out to our ‘backyard’. There you will find a number of trees, outbuildings, bird feeders, flower gardens, and our fruit and veggie garden! Please feel free to help yourself to any ripe produce, but we ask that you don’t overindulge so others can also enjoy the fresh PEI blueberries! Parking: We have a long driveway which can handle multiple cars, as well as a detached two-car garage which guests are welcome to use.
