Near outlets& TulalipCasino The space Welcome to our unique home that is a true nature lovers paradise including the hundred year old cedar in our yard , wild oregano growing and the rustic wood fired sauna. Your choice of amenities include Hot tub, sauna, fish, swim, boat, play board games, bbq, relax by the fire place, endless things to do with our lake house that has it all. Private Dock, private Sauna, private Hot Tub , Expansive southern exposure deck overlooking lake (longest sunsets on this side of the lake), Grill! Everything you need and more for the ultimate lake house experience. We offer every single one of these amenities and are the only house on this lake ( and in this area) that has them all. We are also one of the only houses that is pet friendly (we allow up to two potty trained adult dogs )! *pet fee applies* This lake home sits right on serene Lake Howard. A community lake where no oil motor boats are allowed and the water is calm and pure. Common sites including watching paddle boarders, seeing small boats fishing, and bald eagles overhead. Our expansive deck faces south -east which means we get the sun the longest on this side of the lake and in all seasons magical sun sets can be viewed in the hot tub on the deck with lake views. You will have two private rooms, two full private bathrooms, private downstairs den with queen bed, pull out sofa bed and a full kitchen bar, private upstairs kitchen, private dining room, private living room. We offer up to 7 total guests the entire top floor unit as well as the bar/den room downstairs that functions as it’s own room with door and queen bed as well as a couch and pull out couch bed. Upstairs has 3 beds/2 baths, living room, full kitchen and antique tea room /living room. Private entrance. The following is considered shared : driveway, half of downstairs deck (outside of home) where our separate entrance MIL is ( mother in law has completely separate entrance and does not have access to any of other parts of the home or private areas mentioned above ) our long term tenant in the separate MIL is an avid mountaineer and hiker and is often exploring on weekends. Our hot tub and wood fired sauna are open! We take extra cleaning precautions and ask everyone to shower thoroughly PRIOR to entering. If you are in need of a getaway, staycation with all of the private amenities, this is the place! (on rare occasions, hot tubs and saunas require repairs or maintenance. If it breaks down during your stay and is unavailable, we don't issue a refund.) Disclaimer: This is not a hotel, it is our home, we are opening it up to share with you.. we hope that you value and appreciate our place and treat it like your own. Our Price per night - Airbnb collects taxes and fees that go directly to them for using their site. This is not part of the hosts price per night. Our price per night includes running a hot tub year round including throughout winter, a sauna, and keeping all the amenities ready for guests. If you are concerned about the hosts price per night we encourage you to always look at the other Airbnb’s and available hotels nearby, as there are many. we know they will almost always charge you the same if not more per person AND they overlook the freeway, not on the lake and do not offer these private amenities. If you do not like or agree with our price per night, please do not book. Bedroom 1: This listing includes the private master bedroom with luxury queen pillow top mattress ( sleeps on the soft side) single bed that also doubles as a day bed to watch TV, dresser, large TV with chrome cast to stream from your device ( you must know how to stream from your device to use this TV ) and walk in closet overlooking the lake with private full bathroom attached . The Hot tub conveniently sits right outside the master bedrooms sliding glass doors, and overlooks the lake on the deck. The hot tub does periodically warm up at night , if you are a super sensitive sleeper we recommend you pick another bedroom or wear ear plugs. Bedroom 2: Luxury queen pillowtop mattress ( sleeps medium soft ) over looking garden with walk in closet, dresser, TV with Roku device for netflix . Full bathroom 2 is directly next to this bedroom. Our wood fired sauna is located right over the lake, and is accessible from the path on the right side heading down. This is an authentic Finnish wood fired sauna, you will hear the wood crackle and pop as you over look the lake from the windows. It is lined with cedar benches and you will smell the cedar as it heats up. This sauna takes plenty of time to heat up and you must know how to start a fire to use it. Its a great experience for the rustic outdoors, especially in long winters. We ask that if you are interested in utilizing it during your stay that you bring firewood with you. It would not be possible for us to haul firewood for each guests sauna stay especially if you plan on using it for a half or full day, so as a courtesy we ask you bring your firewood. We provide starter, lighter, essential oils and of course the sauna! Please follow all fire safety precautions. If you need a hatchet to chop your wood please bring your own , due to safety reasons we cannot provide this item. As a host who has traveled extensively and stayed in both Airbnb's and hotels the price per night for a hot tub and sauna on and overlooking the lake to yourself is unbeatable. We hope you enjoy it! *Enjoying the Lake* We have two single kayaks you may borrow for no additional fee (our kayaks are provided in summer- when lake temps are not hazardous). Life vests required for all water activities. Our dock is closed from Nov- mid April as water temps are unsafe during winter months. On the east side of the lake there is a public access point to the lake for the general public year round. Fishing- If you like to fish, this is the spot. From Mid April to October- Lake Howard is a good lake for anglers to catch abundant stocked Rainbow Trout. Resident Coastal Cutthroat Trout and Largemouth Bass are also present. We do not provide fishing supplies so please bring yours and follow leave no trace guidelines. Per WA state fishing license required. We are 25 mins to Mount Vernon, 5 minutes to warm beach and 10 minutes to downtown Stanwood. Great place for getaways with many activities to do. Guest access Both Living rooms includes indoor fireplace ( turns on with just a switch!) ( pilot light is turned off in summer). deck overlooking lake includes propane BBQ grill and hot tub. kitchen with lake views has stainless steel appliances. Washer and dryer in laundry room. There are so many areas outside the house to enjoy- the front yard underneath Japanese maple has chairs and tables for garden lounging and picnics, the backyard in warm seasons for outdoor naps. There is an outdoor fire pit for roasting s’mores and relaxing under the willow tree. We are on a pure natural well so please enjoy our fresh water out of the tap- no need to buy bottled water The bottom half of the fridge and freezer we utilize for our ( the hosts) items. You will have all upper shelves to yourself. If this bothers you, do not book the home. We do not have time to run to the store every time we come up to the house. So we keep it stocked in the lower drawers. Other things to note Half of driveway is shared with tenant in separate mother in law. You must read and agree to All house rules before booking. We have so many amenities including the sauna hot tub and lake that it is required for a smooth , safe and serene guest experience that you familiarize yourself with the house rules and agree to follow them prior to booking. We do not allow parties of any kind. Additionally, if you have plans to invite over multiple other people/visitors during your stay do not book this home. This is a home for the guests who are on your reservation to enjoy. If you are expecting a brand new home in perfect, brand new condition- don’t! We would much rather you book elsewhere than stay. We have a wonderful well loved and well used lake house that has antique furniture and we also have things here and there that are used by guests every day. This lake house has plenty of character and has been in our family for years. We are opening it to you as if you were our own family visiting. We will always do anything we can to make you comfortable at our home. There are always moving pieces in a lake house this large so if you do have a suggestion don’t hesitate . You cannot do lake activities without a life vest. This home is not suitable for children. There is no lifeguard on this lake. If you choose to book this home or bring children or guests to the home you are solely responsible for your and their safety. Inherent risks are assumed with the use of watercrafts, saunas and hot tubs; and with lake activities and water recreation in general. It is the responsibility of the registered guest to inform anyone using the home and facilities of the potential hazards. Each guest’s use of the home and facilities constitutes a release of liability and waiver of any and all rights, claims or causes. All guests must absolutely shower off fully prior to entering or using the hot tub- no exceptions. If you are super sensitive to hot tub sounds please be aware the hot tub regularly heats up and there is a typical humming noise it makes. You must turn the heat and lights off when you are not using the room or are gone during the day or when you leave the home This home is on a natural lake and is chemical free- do not use harsh chemicals or put them down the drain, no exceptions. Please be clean, there are plenty of cleaning supplies to use, if you can’t keep the home clean , you will be charged additional cleaning fees. We are in a wooded, natural and serene area. Our lot is NOT lawn to lake, it is full of trees and native plants, and it has been certified by the county as lake shore friendly. The more plants along the lake shore the more it filters run off and keeps pollutants from entering the lake. Please do not book if our natural lot bothers you. We are in a temperate rainforest . Sometimes there are critters like spiders that make their way inside. They are harmless! We cannot account for the token spider in the unit, if you are afraid please put them outside :) This home will NOT TOLERATE the following. if you engage in the following your stay will be cancelled immediately without refund: Loud Parties or events, excessive drinking ( including beer pong),drugs, criminal activity, reckless behavior. If you cannot get along with others, do not stay. We have a lovely lake community with very friendly neighbors, we intend on keeping it that way.
