50 year old heritage bungalow in Nilgiris !!! Shepherd Stays is a 50year old heritage bungalow in Gudalur, Nilgiris. This bungalow was part of erstwhile Good Shepherd Estate, which is now transformed into a residential landscape. The bungalow has a serene ambience, and has a natural calming and relaxing atmosphere. The bungalow also has a well stocked library bar, lawn garden, barbeque facilities, external bonfire place, along with a veg farm and a small livestock farm!!! The space Shepherd stays is a unique serene place, with the Nilgiris mountain as a backdrop. The bungalow is over 50 years old and gives a good colonial feel. Have your morning coffee watching the sun rise over the Ooty hills and a evening barbeque while watching the sun set over the Sleeping Beauty mountain. We will be adding a small livestock farm from where you can catch live and cook. Added is a veg farm that makes your evening barbeque party complete. A well stocked library bar helps you relax with a good read. For the adventurous, we can provide vintage bikes and jeeps that you can rent to see around Masinagudi, Bandipur, Ooty, and Wayanad. Guest access Guests can use the bungalow space and the surrounding orchard. We can arrange trips to nearby tea estate, tea factory, vegetable farm and also for wildlife sight seeing, a Ooty day trip or a Wayanad day trip. We can even cycle to the Hanging Bridges of Thorapalli and also climb the Needle Rock mountain. Other things to note We will take care of you and ensure you have a real good break.
