There have been so many memories made through out the years with family and friends and is a fun vacation getaway with three bright and airy rooms. The two bedrooms upstairs are the perfect way to wake up. When the morning sunlight shines through, you'll understand why we love this home so much. It fills the rooms with brightness and in the winter, a cozy retreat to watch your favorite shows, read your favorite book, or get some work done with the desk and Wifi provided while sipping coffee. Speaking of coffee, don't forget to check out our coffee bar located in the spacious kitchen with granite counter tops that has been used for many mornings making pancakes for our sons. If you have kids, and they love syrup as much as ours do, you can wash them up in the full bathroom located by the bedrooms. The adjoining living room to the kitchen is a comfortable space to get together and plan on activities for the day. Enjoy a board game, a puzzle, a snuggle with your dog, or a television show while you research trails or a day sight seeing in town. If the weather isn't cooperating, take advantage of the spacious downstairs where if you have kids or dogs, they can run around and play, and includes a third bedroom and private bath. You can access it with the stairs located in the kitchen or with the private entrance that steps right out to the beautiful and peaceful backyard. There is a table for activities and a washer and dryer if needed for laundry. If the weather is beautiful and you spent the day hiking, biking, or exploring, enjoy the sunset with a home cooked meal or take out from the local restaurant on the table located on the deck. The neighborhood deer will sometimes make a visit at this time and you can enjoy the peaceful ambience that comes with it. Guests have access to the entire house along with front and back yards. There is a private driveway with room for three cars; no RV's. We are in a very rural area surrounded by Acadia National Park. Located in Acadia National Park, we are 7 miles to Southwest Harbor and just 17 miles to Bar Harbor. Experience activities like climbing Cadillac Mt or exploring Bar Harbor, taking a dip in Echo Lake, eating fresh local lobster, canoeing/kayaking in Seal Cove Pond, or hiking Acadia trails all while being close to home. Great for couples, families, and friends...and don't forget to bring your dog! :) We use our car to visit Acadia National Park and surrounding neighboring towns. Acadia National Park is open year round and is a great place to visit on the office season. Although many restaurants are closed during this time, we offer discounted stays during this time.
