Description
Hi there, add us to your favorites now while you are looking for the best place to enjoy your holiday. Come back later to discover the magic of our unique and beautiful house. A charming one-bedroom house that comfortably sleeps up to four people makes it perfect for couples and families with young children. Its location is ideal, close to amenities but with stunning views from the terrace of open countryside and impressive mountain scenery. The space The house formerly belonged to Esperanza's grandparents, it was modernized in 1997 and was our family home for many years before we moved into larger accommodation. Around 2005 we started letting the house, as a casa rural or holiday cottage, for holidays and weekends . It soon became the most popular holiday cottage in the village and so we have continued to accommodate guests since then. The house is called "The Tunnel" because you access the property through what was originally the ground floor, now completely open to allow access. It's wide enough to park a motorcycle or bicycles, but not to park a car. The tunnel opens out onto an attractive patio with outdoor furniture, flower garden, and access to terraced farmland planted with fruit trees, including avocado, fig, almond, mandarin, plum, pomegranate and apple. There's 4000 square meters of space available, perfect for pets or children that need exercise. From the patio you climb a flight of stairs to the terrace, the most attractive feature of the house with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. If you are looking to relax you will probably spend much of your time here, enjoying the tranquility, the breathtaking scenery and a glass of local wine. The impressive views give you the sensation of being in the depths of the countryside, but the shops, banks, bars and restaurants are all close by. The terrace leads into the dining area and kitchen, equipped with everything you will need for your stay, and then into the living room. As the house is quite narrow, the living room seating and table have been custom designed to fit the natural shape of the room. Where possible, the original timber beams and curved ceilings have been preserved, and the finishing is almost all timber giving the house a warm natural feel. Another flight of stairs takes you upstairs to the studio bedroom and bathroom, this floor is split into two sleeping areas by sliding glass doors and curtains, one with a double bed and the other with a double and a single bunk-bed. There is a cot available if you are traveling with young children, please let us know before hand. The bathroom is not separated from the bedroom by walls or doors, instead it has been designed to afford privacy with screens whilst allowing light into the bedroom. There is also a toilet downstairs on the first floor between the kitchen and living room. As we chose to retain the original layout of the house, the view from the bedroom window and the living room window is limited to a street view. The best views are, by far and away, from the terrace. The village has all of the services on offer that you'll need for your holiday, a Dicost supermarket, bakers, chemists, two cash dispensers and six bar-restaurants around the village and a couple more restaurants further out. Up to date information about the bars and restaurants, hiking routes and attractions can be found on the digital tourism point on the Town Hall in the Main Square. The municipal swimming pool and bar-restaurant is open from late June through to the end of August, with plenty of shade it's a great place to relax and cool off in the pool :) Guest access You have exclusive access to the house, patio garden and orchards on the terraces.
