You can even spot beavers in the area! * Private lake for swimming or old-fashioned fishing. * Back to basics: compost toilet and ecological drainage system; use organic soap and shampoo. * Without WiFi, to completely relax and recharge. * View of 1 hectare of grassland with sheep and chickens. * Breathtaking sunset and a beautiful starry sky. * 3 Tiny Houses completely private: one to sleep, one with living kitchen and bathroom, one with wood stove. * Wood fire fun inside the wood-burning stove or outside in the outdoor stove. Expect ladybugs on your pillowcase, and the roosters with their chickens around the cabana - after all, they were there first! :-) Don't expect modern kitchen gadgets, and certainly don't expect everything to fit... We, Ronald and Lucia, collect everything and turn it into something new. Often you discover a pile of wood or maybe an old bath somewhere, they are ready to use in a new space. Under the large hornbeam, next to the sheep and chickens' quarters, you will find a special place for bon vivants. A village just for you: * Sleeping cottage with comfortable double bed, wool duvet and electric heater. * A cottage with a kitchen and bathroom, furnished with various second-hand finds that we couldn't resist. Includes infrared heater and hot water shower. * Small cottage with wood stove, perfect for crackling fire and cozy evenings. Get out of bed, and out! Here you will find the private lake at 500 meters, for swimming, old-fashioned fishing, spotting beavers or picking blackberries. Stroll through the Parc Naturel Régional des Ardennes, listen to birds or just enjoy the view over the grassland with sheep and chickens. On the property, we are almost completely self-sufficient: compost toilet, organic shampoo and soap, and a minimal impact on the environment. Everything to make your stay quiet, relaxing and natural. If you want to get out and about, there are local excursions such as the fortified town of Rocroi, the Maas at Charleville-Mézières or the wilderness of the Ardennes with all its adventures. Children are very welcome (bring your own tent), and well-trained dogs or horses can 📍be brought in consultation, but always on a leash because of the cats, sheep and chickens on the premises. La Belle Campagne is a harmonious, cozy place where you can completely unwind, to enjoy simplicity, nature and slow living. Guest access ☞☞ La Belle Campagne is not an "ordinary" vacation home. You also rent pasture for you and your group, and a lake for fishing or swimming, bedding and linens, towels and of course wood for the indoor or outdoor stove ! Other things to note Don't forget your boots or other waterproof hiking shoes, we have few paved trails here! Check-in is usually after 4 p.m. Check out before 1 p.m. In winter there is a large group of people who despite the weather conditions like to visit our place. Because of the vastness , the adventurous character and especially because they don't have to share the place with others. We'll make sure there are bottles of drinking water. All in all... very adventurous but not very luxurious! Usually it is nice hiking weather, or the forest is covered with snow.
