You might even spot beavers in the area! * Private pond for swimming or traditional fishing. * Back to basics: compost toilet and eco-friendly drainage system; please use biodegradable soap and shampoo. * No WiFi, so you can fully relax and recharge. * Views over 1 hectare of meadow with sheep and chickens. * Breathtaking sunsets and a stunning starry sky. * 3 Tiny Houses, completely private: one for sleeping, one with a kitchen and bathroom, one with a wood stove. * Fire enjoyment, inside the stove or outside in the fire pit. Expect ladybugs on your pillowcase and the roosters with their hens roaming around the cabane – they were here first! 😊 Don’t expect modern kitchen gadgets or that everything will fit perfectly… We, Ronald and Lucia, collect all sorts of things and give them a second life. Often, you’ll discover a pile of wood or an old bathtub, ready to be used in a new space. Under the large beech tree, next to the sheep and chicken enclosures, we’ve created a special spot for those who enjoy life at a slower pace. A village just for you: * Sleeping house with a comfortable double bed, wool duvet, and electric heater. * House with kitchen and bathroom, furnished with various second-hand treasures we couldn’t resist, including an infrared heater and hot shower. * Small wood stove house, perfect for crackling fires and cozy evenings. Step out of bed… and into nature! Just 500 meters away is the private pond, perfect for swimming, fishing, spotting beavers, or picking blackberries. Wander through the Parc Naturel Régional des Ardennes, listen to the birds, or simply enjoy the view over the meadow with sheep and chickens. On the property, we are almost entirely self-sufficient: compost toilet, biodegradable soap and shampoo, minimal impact on the environment. Everything is designed to make your stay peaceful, relaxed, and in harmony with nature. For outings, you can visit the fortified town of Rocroi, stroll along the Meuse in Charleville-Mézières, or explore the wilderness of the Ardennes and all its adventures. Children are very welcome (please bring your own tent), and well-trained dogs or horses can join 📍by prior arrangement, but must always be on a leash due to the cats, sheep, and chickens on site. La Belle Campagne is a harmonious, cozy retreat where you can fully recharge, enjoy simplicity, nature, and slow living. Guest access ☞☞ La Belle Campagne isn’t just a “regular” holiday home. You also get access to meadows and forest for you and your group, and a pond for fishing or swimming, along with bed linen, towels, and of course wood for the indoor or outdoor stove! Other things to note Don’t forget your boots or other waterproof hiking shoes — there are very few paved paths here! Check-in is generally after 4:00 PM, check-out before 1:00 PM. In winter, a large group of people still loves to visit our place, despite the weather — because of its spaciousness, adventurous character, and especially because they don’t have to share it with anyone else.
