The space Spend a pleasant time in the pretty house of a Mauritian writer in the middle of the trees. Guests have the use of 3 air-conditioned bedrooms with a king-size bed. The accommodation only has one bathroom with bathtub, shower, and double sinks. The kitchen is open to the main room. You'll also have an air-conditioned office. Other things to note There are several very good restaurants in the village of Chamarel (2 minutes by car and 10 minutes on foot) but they are only open for lunch. For dinner, you will need to go down the coast to La Gaulette (15 minutes by car) or Rivière Noire (25 minutes by car) where there is a good choice of restaurants. You can access the Black River Gorges Natural Park, known for its spectacular trails. Golf enthusiasts can discover four spectacular 18-hole golf courses (Paradis, Bel Ombre, Tamarina, Avalon) within a 30-minute drive. The famous surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing spots of Le Morne are easily accessible in less than 20 minutes by car. As you will be surrounded by nature and greenery, you may encounter mosquitoes, especially at sunset. (Mosquito repellents are provided in the cottage. The bed is equipped with mosquito nets.)
