Fall asleep to the sound of the rushing brook in this beautifully restored log home. The cabin sits in the middle of three wooded acres overlooking Catlin Brook as it cascades through the gorge below. It seems like wilderness, yet all the amenities of Harwinton are just a few minutes away. The space The two-bedroom, 1 1/2 bath cabin has been lovingly restored and remodeled. It includes a fully stocked kitchen with quartz countertops, laundry room, office space with guest computer, high-speed internet, and exposed log trusswork and original pine floors throughout. Guest access Guests have full access to the home with the exception of one locked closet (master bedroom) and the crawl space (laundry room). The three acres of wooded property are unimproved. Unmarked hazards exist, and guests who choose to explore the acreage do so at their own risk. Known hazards include: poison ivy, ticks, unprotected heights, and wildlife. Other things to note All of the lights on the main floor are voice activated via Alexa. The welcome folder on the kitchen table explains how to use them. ("Alexa, let their be light!") There are security cameras that cover the driveway, front porch, and crawl space, but no cameras inside the home itself.
