French country home - private heated pool & garden

This accommodation received a 4-star rating in June 2023. "Temps d'Alenar" is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing and peaceful holiday in a beautiful French farmhouse with a private heated pool and stunning and spacious garden. ​This recently renovated property is set in a small hamlet just outside the medieval village, 10 min. drive from the charming town of St-Yrieix & all its amenities. Perfect for families or couples wanting to get away from the hustle & bustle. The space The house (140 m²) has recently been renovated to a high standard : On the ground floor, the spacious open-plan living and dining area offers a large wooden farm table with dining space for 8 people. A wood burner in the lounge heats the house and makes it cozy in the cooler months. The kitchen offers plenty of space for preparing meals and is fully equipped (hob, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, and kitchen mixer/blender). The private garden is fully fenced and has no views in from neighbouring properties. Local food markets are a wonderful starting point for discovering French culture and filling your basket with fresh produce will be one of the highlights of your trip. The living area has a smart flatscreen TV, wifi, a Bluetooth speaker for connecting your phone and playing music, as well as a selection of DVDs. On the same floor, there is also a bathroom with a shower, sink, toilet, and utility room. The top floor comprises 3 cozy and light bedrooms, all with storage space. There is one large master bedroom with king size bed and ensuite, one guest bedroom with a double bed, and a third bedroom with a single bed and a foldable cot (upon request). We do our best to offer a good night's rest with quality bedding and linen. Each bedroom has a fan for the warmer months of the year, and duvet covers are available for the cooler months. Guest access The entire house is accessible to our guest. Only the barn will be closed off. Other things to note Things to do... Le Chalard is a beautiful and quaint medieval village, with a Romanesque church dating from the 11th century. At its foot, you may wonder about the sculpted tombs dating back to the 12-13th centuries, some of which belonged to the monks from the abbey next to the church. Over the summer guided tours are available. During your stay you can also visit our village Gold Museum, going back in time from the Gauls up until 2001... 2500 years of amazing history!
