Cozy Lakefront Fishing Cottage

Are you looking for a relaxing lakefront getaway with beautiful sunset views over the lake? If so, our comfy fishing cottage on Leach Lake in Hastings is for you! The cottage is a short drive north of downtown Hastings, which has been rated one of the best small towns in America by Norman Crampton, author of "The 100 Best Small Towns in America." Leach Lake is an all-sports lake with excellent fishing. The cottage is equipped with paddle boards, kayaks, a canoe, and a row boat for your trip. The space The cottage is a very comfy and welcoming space. It's a nice old fishing cottage with modern updates to the kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom has a queen bed and toddler bed with plenty of space for a pack and play as well as an area to hang clothing. The living room has a couch/futon that pulls out into a double bed. The cottage has an open floor-plan concept with open space shared with the kitchen, dining area and living room. Dining areas include the kitchen bar top with barstools and a dining room table. The bathroom has recently been updated and includes modern touches with tile and a full shower and tub. The screened in porch provides breathtaking views of sunsets and also includes a single bed. Outside you'll find a charming yard with plenty of room for kiddos to play. We also have a cool nautical outdoor shower that was made with an old boat. Guest access You will have full access to the cottage as well as use of our dock and lakefront deck for your boat parking needs. The deck and dock are for our cottage use only and not shared areas. Other things to note We have a sandy beach area for kids to play, but inside the water is a little mucky. Ideal swimming would be to anchor out in the lake with your boat. You can catch fish for dinner right off the dock. The cottage is fully stocked with most of the items you need at home. We have a limited starter stock of items such as toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, hand soap, grill propane, etc. Please understand that these items will not be refreshed during your stay and may require you to bring extra. This also applies to bedding and towels. If you use several towels and wash clothes, you should plan to bring extra from home.
