Frugal in space, this ground floor studio is comfy for two or a single traveling on a budget. To maximize space, the room features a unique European hydraulic murphy bunk bed! It will be in "sleeping mode" upon check in, but can be folded into the wall to make best use of space. This way our guests can choose between having both beds in use, one bed in use, or both beds folded away for more room when not sleeping. To store the top bunk: 1) Grab handle from below, if deployed, and lift a few inches. Don't worry, it isn't heavy and will stay in place. 2) Swing ladder against the bottom of the bed. It has magnets, and will stay in place. 3) Fold up the metal legs so these keep the mattress in place. Again - not heavy, nor spring loaded, so easy to move. 4) Push against wall. Hydraulics will hold it in place. It isn't heavy and no springs. To deploy the top bunk, reverse the steps: 1) Grab handle from below and pull down a few inches. 2) Swing ladder from its resting place beneath the bed till it is all the way out. 3) Fold down the metal legs keeping the mattress in place till they are beneath the bed and supporting the weight. Again, the bed is not heavy, nor spring loaded, so easy to move.) 4) Slide the ladder grooves onto the bed frame and lower the top bunk all the way till it's resting on top of the frame. 5) Relax and nighty night! Our built in "Murphy Table" with folding chairs adds space plus functionality. The unit comes complete with TV & strong WIFI. It also boasts mini-kitchenette appliances for food storage and re-warming. Our building also offers a full-service on-site restaurant serving traditional Hawaiian-style “grindz.” Our property offers one free parking space per unit, with ample free parking on the street. We a block from the local bus line and 10 minutes form the OGG International airport. A little rough-around-the-edges, Central Maui offers shopping and dining plus a little nightlife. It can be challenging for people unaccustomed to an "urban setting" in the process of renewal. You'll be walking distance from cafes, restaurant, shopping and the historic Iao Theater, our central location is ideal for hikers wishing to explore the Iao Valley State Park, or North Shoreline, and a great home base for travel to the East, and South as well.
