Rental unit in Barnet
Description
Which ever season your adventure belongs to, Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom (NEK) is a must-do. Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this rural, yet centrally-located private apartment in a historic 1800s home. This updated, budget-friendly space offers a one-night minimum, yet more comfort than the big box capital C Inn down the road! Ideal for skiing, mountain biking, leaf peeping, relocation, or just passing through. Plenty of parking for trailers or multiple vehicles The space Simple clean space with your basic necessities. Both queen mattresses and all pillows are encased with premium protectors creating a healthy sleep zone so you can sleep well. Air purifiers with air quality indicators, which also provide “white noise” if desired. Pack n Play (playpen) for infant and toddler guests is available upon request. Simple meals can be prepared or reheated with a variety of provided appliances. After much appreciated guest feedback, I’ve replaced the desk with a kitchen table, which opens up to your desired size. Extra folding chairs are in the closet. My apartment is not big in size but is roomier than a hotel room with some extra conveniences. It offers 2 bedrooms and a modest living, dining and meal prep area, along with a sleeper sofa, bigger refrigerator and outdoor space. Thank you to all my guests who appreciate this clean, comfortable, and safe place to rest. It is my greatest honor to have so many of you return again and again! Mi casa es su casa 💛 Guest access You have parking right at your front door for easy loading and unloading. There are 3 steps up to the front door. Though this booking is for your private apartment, please enjoy the entire yard. Outdoor seating and picnic table are seasonal. Personal grill for your use. Hose at bike wash station. Other things to note This is an apartment on the first level with the owner or short term tenant living upstairs and a quiet parent next door. The interstate is rather close to the house and the truck noise can be disruptive to some. Ear plugs are provided. The water source is well. It is naturally hard with higher mineral concentrations than treated public water. It is tested regularly, filtered for sediments, and safe for drinking. Many guests prefer to bring extra bottled water, as they’re not accustomed to unprocessed well water. Cell service works at our place. I’ve acquired the best internet service available in the area. It rarely cuts out, but if it does, please understand that I have no control over that. Vermont can be prone to heavy winds and ice storms. Please, no smoking in or near the house. We are located along the 80 mile Ridges, Rails, and Rivers Overnighter Bike Loop, making it a convenient stop in lieu of tenting. My father is a retired mechanic who won’t retire. So he may have a small project going on in the back of the house. But he knows to keep the noise next to none when guests are staying. He is very happy to help if you have a mechanical issue or question!
