The space The Little Oak is a 1 bed oak framed country retreat. Situated in the middle of fields with uninterrupted country views, this beautiful bolt hole offers an idyllic base for either relaxing and unwinding or exploring the local Norfolk coasts and country. The property has its own private parking and entrance way so you really are spoilt with privacy. As you walk down the shingle path, you will be greeted with an oak staircase which leads to your balcony and accommodation. Situated in the trees, you really get a feel of a treetop retreat. Stop and take in the far reaching views of the Norfolk countryside and renowned skies! Enter The Little Oak through double doors into an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. The stylish, cosy living room has a sofa and armchair with plenty of cushions and throws to add to your comfort and luxury. There is a SMART TV with the majority of streaming channels including Netflix and Prime. Wall column radiators supply heat to the property throughout. A NEOM chargeable diffuser fills the air with beautiful scent to help you relax and unwind. The well equipped kitchen is stylish and perfectly designed if you enjoy cooking whilst on your break! (Although be sure to check out our recommendations if you prefer to eat out!!) The kitchen boasts an AEG touch control integrated oven with all the features an aspiring chef would need! The kitchen also includes an integrated fridge freezer, ceramic hob, kettle, toaster & cafetière. The dining area includes 2 chairs and a table so you can set your place settings for that romantic meal for 2 or those lazy Sunday morning brunches. Leave your shoes on the shoe rack and enter the bedroom! As you open the door, you will be greeted with far reaching country views from a large window above the bed. Sink into the king size bed and EMMA mattress with feather pillows and duvet - the ultimate in relaxation and luxury. Lay in bed and read a book or cosy up and watch a film on the SMART TV in the bedroom. There are integrated USB ports next to the bed. There is storage under the bed, in the wicker chests next to the bed and open hanging for clothes and jackets. There is also a storage cupboard suitable to store luggage etc, so you can feel fully relaxed and at home. The en-suite bathroom includes a waterfall shower providing the feeling of luxury spa straight to your bathroom. Soft towels & bed linen are all included along with little touches such as cotton buds, cotton pads, flannels etc. Handwash, lotion and diffuser reeds are provided by Norfolk Natural Living, who bottle every formulation by hand and use only natural ingredients formulated with therapeutic blends, designed to improve your wellbeing. Their shop in Holt is a must! Be sure to try their 'coastal walks' fragrance! There is a private patio and balcony for you to enjoy. Sunbathe on the south facing patio, drink wine in the summer evenings or cosy up under a blanket and watch the sunset. The choice is yours! The Little Oak also boasts its very own wood fired hot tub which can be booked for your use during your stay at an additional cost. Please be aware to successfully heat the hot tub to the desired temperature, you will need to be able to light and manage the fire yourselves. This process should take around 2-3 hours if you regularly feed the fire. Knowledge of how to light a fire and keep it going, is vital to successfully enjoy this wonderful feature! The property is not suitable for children or babies. Guest access The Little Oak is located within the grounds of the owners barn and all other areas, although not fenced off, are private. Because of our secluded location, The Little Oak is surrounded by wildlife such as hares, foxes, badgers, deers, buzzards & even a pair of locally nesting red kites! Listen to the beautiful skylarks song whilst relaxing on the terrace with a glass of something chilled! Other things to note HOT TUB The hot tub is a wood fired hot tub. Please note that there is an additional charge for the use of this during your stay. The cost of this is £40 which includes the hot tub filled and ready to use with your first supply of fire starters, kindling and wood. After this, additional wood will be charged at £5 per bag. Please advise us at the point of booking whether you would like to book the hot tub as part of your stay. As mentioned above, please be aware to successfully heat the hot tub to the desired temperature, you will need to be able to light and manage the fire yourselves. DRIVEWAY The Little Oak is situated down a country track in the middle of fields. This 'off the beaten track' location, means that you must take it slow when driving down the long driveway/track. ARTHUR We have a large labradoodle called Arthur, who roams freely most days. Please don't feed him, but feel free to give him cuddles and strokes if he wonders by. OTHER ITEMS If you require an iron or ironing board, this can be arranged during your visit.
