The Captain’s Quarters is a new listing so please read our other reviews before booking. This property in scenic Bumblebee Bight, sits on the ocean & offers access for canoes, kayaks and all small pleasure crafts from the yard or private launch. Nestled on Pilleys Island, there are hiking and ATV trails outside your door. A short stroll from the famous Bumblebee Bight Inn & Brewery, we are connected to NFLD by a causeway & are a 25 min drive to access the TCH Hwy 380 & NFLD’s bounties. The space Our quarters are bright, clean & cozy, yet spacious. With an open concept full kitchen, dining and living area, the space provides that extra room and feeling of home that a hotel can’t. Full 4 piece washroom and private main floor laundry add to the convenience and simplicity of your stay. Whether you are enjoying a quiet evening in or entertaining some guests while sharing your beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean from your private 300 sq. ft back deck, the Captains Quarters will provide a well deserved relaxing atmosphere for your stay. After a long day of adventure, you can relax in the roomy master bedroom…the perfect place to wind down and recharge. “Truly a home away from home.” Guest access Guests of the Captain’s quarters will have the entire main floor of the bungalow which conveniently has 2 entrances / exits. The main entry way is on the south side of the house and leads directly into the “mudroom” which is literally a few feet from your parking area. The second entrance brings you directly into the main living area. The main floor has a separate kitchen and dining area, laundry facilities, a full bathroom, an open concept living space with a pull out couch,master bedroom with a queen bed & a large 300 square foot private deck which overlooks the Atlantic ocean about 40 feet away. NOTE: For groups larger than 3-4, it is advisable to also book the “Leisure Lodging on the Ocean” which is the walk out basement portion of the main house. The walkout portion provides additional sleeping for 5, a brand new bathroom and brand new laundry room. Please see listing for details or message us and we would be happy to answer your questions! Other things to note For all our guests, it is important to know that if you see something on the property, (i.e. bicycles, kayaks, floatation toys, bbqs, sports equipment etc.) they are there for your enjoyment. We ask that you are always respectful of other guest in sharing their use. The exception would be the bow rider motor boat and ATV, please check with us about the possibility of taking advantage of their use. Also, the fishing industry is strictly regulated in Newfoundland and you are advised to confirm what and when you can fish legally in the province!
