Historic Bloomingdale Farmhouse w/Mountain Views

Situated on the crest of our 14 acre farm with beautiful mountain views on all sides, our 1840's farmhouse is the perfect location for a friends getaway, family retreat or wedding weekend. Conveniently located near several wedding venues including Market at Grelen (5 min), Castle Hill (15 min) and Barboursville (15 min). Plenty of options for hiking, antiquing, sightseeing and eating in all directions: Montpelier; 8 min to Orange; 15 min to Gordonsville; 30 min. to C'ville & Shenandoah Park. The space Our farmhouse is situated on the crest of our 14 acre farm with beautiful mountain views on all sides. Built in the 1840's and lovingly restored and updated, our farmhouse has lots of charm as well as modern conveniences! The kitchen is recently renovated with a six burner gas stove and oven. We have plenty of different areas to lounge inside and out. Our saltwater pool has breathtaking views from all sides. Our gazebo includes a table and chairs and outdoor games. We have 3 generously sized bedrooms upstairs with multiple beds and 4 full bathrooms plus a twin day bed in the hallway and a generously-sized pull-out in our den downstairs, so the house can easily accommodate 12 adults. We also have two guest cottages available but listed separately: Bloomingdale Cabin (sleeps 3), Bloomingdale Cottage (sleeps 2). This property is great for families and friend gatherings. It is in a rural setting so you must like outdoors. Pets - We love pets and welcome them at our property. There is a pet fee if you choose to bring you pet. We ask that you do not allow them on the furniture or beds, and to please bring their bed with you. We also ask you to please clean after them. We love them but they can track dirt and can stain bedding and damage furniture so we ask for your attention to this. Other things to note There are lots of things to do nearby including historic sites, wineries, hiking, antiquing, and pick your own orchards. Montpelier is 2 miles down the road and we are located near some of the top rated wineries in central Virgina including Barboursville, Horton and Keswick Vineyards. Nestled between Orange, Gordonsville, and Ruckersville you can access plenty of restaurants and antique stores within 15 minutes or less. For more restaurants and entertainment options we are just 30 minutes from Culpepper or Charlottesville.
