Description
This homely Croft house is located in idyllic Uig with stunning views of the Atlantic. The area is rich in history, with lots of wildlife and several beautiful Hebridean white beaches to choose from. Ideal location for walking, cycling, surfing, fishing or relaxing in your home away from home with a cuppa. Enjoy the peaceful way of life in this beautiful village. The space This is a recently updated home with four spacious and comfortable bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and one en-suite, no shower. It has been in our family for over 100 years and is a place where many happy memories have been made. There are two family rooms with a double and single bed, one of which has an en-suite toilet(no shower). This is a great room for those who have young family and want to use the travel cot provided upon request. There is also a spacious double and a king room. The king bedroom is located on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for large or small meals and is often the hub of the house. There is a separate freezer located in the shed. The dining table seats six but can fit eight, there is an additional table and chairs in the porch. The porch is a great spot for sitting with a cup of tea or a dram to enjoy the views. It’s also a perfect workspace if required and there is wifi. The living room is a cosy space for relaxing and putting your feet up and comfortably seats five between the couch and chairs, additional seats can be added. There are board games, dvd’s, toys and some books for guests to use if they wish, all located on the landing. The main bathroom has a shower only, no bath. Guests can use the large shed for bikes, surf boards, fishing rods and all outdoor gear. There is a freezer, an additional fridge and a tumble dryer in the shed for use. Enjoy a game of darts out there too if you wish. There’s a byre next to the house which is not available to guests. There’s a large front garden with a picnic table and benches. Gates are to be kept closed at all times as sheep are often free roaming. Guest access The full house, shed and garden but not the byre. Other things to note When booking accommodation on the Island l would suggest booking the ferry at the same time. Book ferrys with CalMac. They can book up very quickly, especially on weekend days in the summer months. If travelling by ferry you can come via Ullapool to Stornoway or from Uig in Skye to Tarbert in Harris. You can also fly into Stornoway and there are cars available for hire. Registration Details ES00257F
