Stay and Irori Experience On Sado Island, Tomu is a 130-year-old folk house where the spirit of old Japan lives on. Built with timeless craftsmanship, it is cherished as an architectural treasure. In winter, gather around the irori, enjoying warm firelight and the snowy garden from the veranda. This warm, nostalgic atmosphere offers a unique retreat. Located in the island’s center, shops and sightseeing spots are just minutes away. Experience the harmony of history, nature, and comfort at Tomu. The space Check-in: From 3:00 PM on the day of arrival Check-out: By 10:00 AM on the following day (Please inform us of your check-in and check-out time in advance.) As this is a wooden building, the use of open flames is strictly prohibited. The irori hearth is generally not available for use. However, if you would like to request the use of the irori, please contact us at least one week prior to your arrival. The owner will then review your request and decide whether it can be accommodated. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Guest access You can use all the rooms on the first floor. Since it is registered as a facility pertaining to the agriculture, forestry and fishery experience homestay business prescribed in Article 2, paragraph 5 of the Leisure Law, the first floor part cannot be used as an accommodation facility for the second floor part.
