The space A unique converted Annexe in what was once the original farm in Bessingby. The accommodation is split over 2 levels with a staircase: Ground floor: entrance room and the perfect space for coats, shoes, muddy boots, and space to dry clothes (eg. swimsuits). Medium-sized chest freezer located in this room. First floor (up one short flight of stairs): Large light, living space with sofas, dining table, TV. Large bedroom with king size bed. Smaller bedroom with 2 single beds. Bathroom with shower. Kitchen. Coffee, tea, milk, sugar, oil, salt and pepper provided. There is off road parking for 2 cars and space for safe bike storage. 55” flat screen TV with Freesat and free WiFi are all provided. There is a private outside space for you to enjoy with tables and chairs available in spring/summer. Bikes can be stored in the downstairs or we can provide access to other secure spaces. Bringing surf boards? We're happy to help find a place to wash your kit and store your boards during your stay in one of our outbuildings. A short drive to all the local town centre amenities, shops and supermarkets. What guests say they most enjoy: The peaceful location. The unique space and size. The best of both worlds - a quiet spot only a few minutes drive away from town. Responsiveness and flexibility of the hosts to accommodate requests (eg. earlier/later check ins/outs, extra dogs). This might not be the right place for you if: You need a larger garden or a grassy area. You have access to your own private outside area but it is currently pebbled. There is a public footpath and walk close to the house that is popular with many dog walkers. You prefer newer rental homes/spaces. Our space is an old converted farm building and was once an artist studio too. Therefore there is always work to be done to keep on improving it which we are in the process of doing. But if you love places with a bit of character and history you'll feel at home. You don't want to ever see your hosts! We live in a house on the same property although your driveway and entrance is completely private. However one upstairs window in the living area looks out onto a garden that we are likely to use when the sun is shining. Guest access The whole Annexe is available. Guests will have sole use of the Annexe during their stay, and the garden area immediately outside their front door (private). The hosts live in St Magnus Lodge on the same site but The Annexe has its own private entrance. Check-in between 3pm-9pm (or later). Check out 11am. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Other things to note Towels (for bathroom use only) and linen provided. We allow 1 well behaved dog to stay and let us know if you're bringing a dog. If you have more than 1 dog please send us an enquiry. Check in ideally between 3.00-9.00pm - however email requests for earlier/later can be arranged if possible.
