Boutique Bach, Campbells Beach
Description
Within one hour of Auckland, Tui Cottage is a Lockwood home, with stunning views across Millon Bay and it's surrounding countryside. Its about 10 minutes drive from/to Matakana and is on the beautiful Tawharanui Peninsula. There are many beaches, vineyards, cafes, bars/pubs/craft breweries in the vicinity but Campbells Beach itself is a small, unspoilt and quiet place. The World famous Sculptureum is close and a must see! The space Tui Cottage is a Lockwood home that is tastefully decorated and well equipped. It has an open plan living/kitchen area that leads out to the front and side decks and is set up to accommodate one couple. There is a large family bathroom (shower, toilet, sink) + a separate toilet and a vanity area. The bedroom is large, has a TV and wardrobe with small drawer unit inside. It has acess to the side deck and lovely views to the hills. Guest access House and garden. Nearby beaches of Campbells and Baddelys accessible by foot. Other things to note Fairly steep parts to garden (access to steps to the lane leading to the beach): guests need to be careful when the weather is wet as the slope can be slippery. An alternative, slightly longer but safer route to the beach, is via the driveway. Guests can bring their own linen, if desired, and will not have to pay the linen charge. Duvet and pillows provided. As well as a range of cooking equipment and a fridge/freezer, the kitchen includes basics such as cooking oil, salt/pepper. The nearest (4 Square) supermarket is in Matakana which also has a boutique cinema complex and a big range of food and drink options. Campbells Beach is tidal - very safe swimming about 2 hours either side of high tide. A range of other, stunning beaches are a short drive away. Please note: because they are made of wood (sustainable and naturally insulated) Lockwood homes do 'click' a bit as the outdoor temperature changes. One of our guests knocked a star off because of this!
