Lost Creek is a small family-owned vineyard in Upper Ojai, nestled at the end of a private country road, steps away from Los Padres National Forest. Surrounded by hundred-year old oaks and flanked by two mountain ranges, the home sits on an acre and overlooks a vineyard planted in Syrah grapes, which the owners craft into a remarkably rich red. The location is located halfway between Santa Paula and Ojai with all its stores and attractions. The house has been extensively remodeled with a new kitchen, new bath, new windows, white oak flooring throughout and a new air conditioner/ forced air heater. In one of the bedrooms you will find a California King sized bed and in the second bedroom a queen size bed. Both bedrooms offer a chest of drawers and a closet. Each bedroom as well as the living room has a ceiling fan. Next to the bedrooms is a bathroom with a tub/shower and pedestal sink. There is an additional bathroom in the tiny house, just steps away from the main house, which offers a shower, a deep laundry type sink, a washer and dryer. In the living room you can sink into the oversized sofa and enjoy the view from the large picture window. If you must work, you can do so in the office adjacent to the living room and with the help of the Internet you are connected to the rest of the world. The kitchen with the custom made peninsula offers plenty of space to cook or bake. In the cupboards you will find all the dishes and utensils you need as well as ceramic dishes hand made by the owner. The kitchen opens to the dining room with colorful seating for four, a gas stove, a microwave, deep farmhouse style sink, refrigerator and a dishwasher. On the large deck in the front of the house you can sip your morning coffee and listen/watch the birds. In the evening the deck outside the kitchen offers the best view of the colorful sunsets. You can slip out the front gate and soon find yourself hiking along Sisar Creek in the National Forest surrounded by large oak and sycamore trees, where you can enjoy the year-round sounds of running water. When hunger strikes you can either prepare a gourmet dinner right in the kitchen or drive into Ojai, which is about 8 miles away, where you will find an abundance of restaurants.
