The Goldfinches

Family house located in the countryside, quiet in a Bugey village, close to lakes, waterfalls, Viarhona, canoeing on Vieux-Rhône and many other activities: horseback riding in the village, hiking trails, Izieu memorial, Marais de Lavours (20 min), Grand Colombier, basketry/porcelain painting workshops, many restaurants (min. 10 min). Nearest ski resorts (about 1h-1h15): La Feclaz, Le Revard, Les Plans d'Hotonnes. Valmorel and Grand Bornand 1h40 The space House at the end of the village, quiet road, courtyard without neighbors. South-facing with views to the east of the surrounding area (Grand Colombier, Dent du Chat...). The living rooms are on one level: large living room/dining room with TV, table that can accommodate up to 16 guests, billiards, games/instruments... Open kitchen with small table (4 people). 1 adapted bathroom with suspended toilet and walk-in shower; 1 multi-purpose room for games/linen/office. The washing machine is in the basement. On the 1st half floor: open library and large master bedroom (queen size bed) with balcony access. Upstairs: 2 bedrooms (only one available because we have a teenager who refuses to leave his room...) so a bedroom with a 120 cm bed, an independent toilet, a bathroom with a bathtub and a walk-in shower. On the top floor (attic with a single small window): 1 double bed and a single bed. Available outside: pergola, barbecue, plancha, hammock, trampoline. Secure house, recently renovated. Very quiet place, on the edge of the village/forest. NB: the stone bread oven outside is not available but contributes to the charm of the place. In 2025, chickens and rabbits visible in the photos are no longer... But Mister Cat is there, knows how to be discreet except for those who like cuddles! Important for winter: wood heating (log boiler), knowing how to light a fire is necessary! One-day autonomy: underfloor heating and domestic hot water (electrical coupling possible for water) Guest access Entire accommodation, except barns and cellar. Barn accessible in winter to access the boiler, the only source of heating (central, underfloor except in rooms where there are radiators). Other things to note At the end of the stay, guests are asked to leave the place tidy and clean (toilet, vacuum cleaner, mop on the ground floor, bed linen removed, dishes clean and tidy). Housekeeping fees are related to disinfection of the premises, washing of sheets and other.
