One private bedroom has a full queen bed with high quality mattress and a common area has a full queen sofa bed that is brand new. The apartment is privately situated in the woods above the garage next to the main house. (Note: there is no use of the garage that will cause disturbance to our guests.) It is private, quiet, and surrounded by trees. with no other guests on the property. Skylights and large windows make this apartment feel like a super tree-house. There is a large, fully equipped kitchen, heated floors, a gas fireplace, indoor jacuzzi tub with sound system, full washer and dryer, large closet, work station for guest use, large screen television, dvd player, good internet/WiFi access, very large private furnished outdoor deck with a BBQ, and more. Make this your own forest retreat and HQ for a great vacation in the Green Mountains! The sound system in the jacuzzi can accommodate CD's or any phone, tablet, or other device with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. There is also an iPOD dock. The TV has a chromecast attached that will allow you to stream from any Android or iOS with a compatible app installed. i.e. you can stream content like Netflix or Hulu from your device to the TV. All spaces in the apartment and the attached deck. Any outside space they desire to explore. We are a professional couple with no kids and live in the main house on the property. We are generally available full time for any issues or inquiries, but are very respectful of our guests privacy and quiet. We are experienced hosts for over 9 years and strive to make our guest's stay very enjoyable. We can be easily reached via email or phone. This is a quiet, forested, rural area nestled in the woods right next to the highest mountain in Vermont (Mt. Mansfield). There is quick access to some of the best hiking in the Green Mountains (5 mins to mountain trail heads) but even a stroll down our country road provides amazing scenic vistas and rural VT charm. We are a short drive from Smuggler's Notch (13 miles) and Bolton Valley (28 Miles) Ski Areas and a slightly longer trip to Stowe. (Note to Stowe skiers: we are on the West side of Mt. Mansfield so the drive to the Stowe mountain resort in winter may be up to an hour.) We are about a half hour drive to Burlington, which provides lots of great nightlife, and Lake Champlain for boating, swimming, or biking on the lake bike path. Our immediate area has great rural roads with scenic mountain views that are popular for bike riding and we are also close to several great rail trails. A vehicle is required to access this location. There is no public transportation near the house. In the winter time, an AWD/4WD is desirable but not absolutely necessary. Any vehicle with good snow tires can usually access the unit without trouble. Regarding COVID -19 Virus concerns : Note to prospective guests - We have always maintained a very high degree of cleanliness for this property but we are also now going to extra lengths to sterilize all surfaces after every guest. In addition, we are in a sparsely populated rural area, so it's an ideal escape! Please note, we may not be able to accept a 3 day or shorter only booking, that includes a weekend, more than a month or two in advance. Although not absolutely necessary, in winter time we recommend a 4WD/AWD vehicle if you have one. Most 2WD vehicles with good snow or all weather tires have no problems but occasionally we get icy conditions on our long driveway that can be a little tricky.
