The space The apartment is located in the Heart of Old Town. It is an historic building that has been restored and renovated keeping the original features such as the high ceilings, wooden beams and brick masonry walls. The living room is light and airy and has two big ceiling fans. Our spacious 3th floor apartment includes 3 big bedrooms; each room has a big ceiling fan that creates a soft breeze and a relaxing noise. We have 2 bathrooms with a toilet and a bidet, one has a bathtub and the other has a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and has an oven, microwave and a build in washing machine. We have 2 air-conditioning units. TV and Wi-Fi are available. The top to bottom windows and the authentic balcony’s make our place unique. The view from our balconies is enchanting, as you can see on our pictures. They are facing the oldest active church in town, Basilica of Santa María. The Basilica is literally only a stone’s throw away from our balcony. Next to the church is the Museum of Contemporary Art "MACA" and at the back ground you see the walls of the Santa Barbara Castle. The inspiring architecture of the Basilica of Santa Maria is an opulent example of Valencian Gothic architecture, which features a spectacular interior decoration. From the (167 meter high) walls of the Santa Barbara Castle you can easily recognize it by its two towers and baroque portico. The 360° view at the top of the Castle is absolutely breathtaking. The Castle has been the Soul of Alicante since the Bronze Age, Iberian and Roman times, although the origin of the current strength is to be found in the late ninth century. Before 1963, it was open to the public but it was in a state of neglect. That year, a 205 meter long tunnel and a 143 meter high elevator, inside the mountain, were opened and made a tour of the castle more accessible. The elevator can only be accessed on the Avenida de Jovellanos (parallel to the beachfront Postiguet).
