Description

A self-catered two-bedroom grooms cottage forming part of a historic Victorian stable block. Private hot tub, BBQ/firepit and garden. Secluded within the grounds of a family-owned Organic Estate, but easily accessible from the A303 and 10 minutes from Stonehenge. This is a rustic, private and cosy farmstay with spectacular views, numerous activities, friendly hosts and delicious, locally sourced breakfast items provided. Dog friendly. Family friendly with cot and high chair available. The space The Coach house is a self contained 'two-up two-down' within a Grade II listed Victorian stable block. The flat boasts a tranquil setting with views across the surrounding farmland. There is a bathroom and small kitchen downstairs, a double room upstairs (king sized bed) and a small second bedroom with two 'single' beds. There is NO separate sitting/living room although there is a TV, armchairs and small sofa in the first bedroom. The armchairs and sofa are comfortable but SMALL as the property is limited on space. The photos have been taken recently, please find a detailed description of amenities below. The kitchen is basic but well kitted out, with a hob, fridge, microwave and table with chairs. A countertop oven is also available. The bathroom has a recently fitted electric shower, basin and loo. The water pressure in our area is not the best, so it's not a 'power shower' but we find it works absolutely fine! A travel cot and high chair are available on request; bedding for the cot is not supplied. There is a private garden with table and chairs, BBQ/firepit and views. This is a very old building with plenty of character - the space may not suit groups that are looking for all the 'mod-cons' or a deluxe/hotel like experience. Nonetheless, it is a cosy, characterful and functional space for lovers of nature, boardgames and the outdoors, and we have several returning guests every year. For a couple or young family the space is ideal. DETAILED INFORMATION ON HOW TO FIND US BECOMES AVAILABLE ONCE YOU HAVE CONFIRMED YOUR BOOKING. WE ALSO SEND A GUIDEBOOK AND DIRECTIONS DIRECTLY TO YOU AHEAD OF YOUR STAY. Guest access This is a self-contained apartment/annexe within the grounds of our private family home. We are often around to greet guests upon arrival, however this is not always possible. By arrangement we will leave the key in the door and guests are welcome to 'check themselves in'. You are free to roam the grounds and to come and say hello to us in the main house. Be aware that this is a working farm, so supervise children and use common sense! ONCE YOUR BOOKING IS CONFIRMED YOU ARE ABLE TO ACCESS VERY DETAILED DIRECTIONS FOR HOW TO FIND US IN 'GUEST RESOURCES'. Other things to note - The second bedroom is narrow; we've made the best use of the space but it is quirky! - NO SEPARATE LIVING ROOM; armchairs, a small sofa and a TV are provided in the main bedroom, but space is relatively tight... we call it cosy! - The property is on an organic estate - the birds, bugs and bees are a part of life here on the farm, and despite rigorous cleaning between guest stays... they do occasionally find their way through the odd open window! - There is a short, well lit, gravelled walk from the carpark to access the property so you will need to carry bags just a short way. - This is a very old property and comes with quirks! If something seems faulty, do just knock on the door to let us know. -Seasoned firewood for the firepit is included. -There is a surcharge of £50/stay for use of the hot-tub, which includes a wheelbarrow of kiln-dried logs.
