Waterfront Cottage on Sturgeon Lake, Canada

Come relax at our waterfront cottage! Go for a swim, catch fish right off the dock, canoe to the nearby marsh for some bird watching, take a nap in the huge screened-in porch, or visit the nine-hole golf course five minutes away. Three bedrooms, living room with a futon, screened porch with futon, bathroom, and well-equipped kitchen. Fifteen minutes from both Bobcaygeon and Fenelon Falls, which have grocery stores, LCBO, restaurants, shops, and the Kawartha Dairy (best ice cream ever!) The space What to bring: - Please bring sheets, pillow cases, and towels. Blankets and pillows are provided - All lakes in the Trent system have zebra mussels, so bring water shoes or crocs for swimming Sleeping: - Two bedrooms have double beds - Third bedroom has bunk-beds that are fine for children or young adults - Pull-out futon in the living room - Pull-out futon on the screened-in porch for sleeping under the stars! - Again, bring your own sheets, pillow cases, and towels Guest access - Walk in beach with rocky bottom - Fire pit by lake (wood not provided) - Propane bbq (propane provided) - Kitchen is fully equipped - Paper products are provided –toilet paper, napkins, paper towels - Large dining table on screened in porch seats 6 - Canoe with 2 paddles and 2 adult life jackets provided - Paddle board - Adult kayak - 2 children’s kayaks - Paddle boat Other things to note We only accept full week rentals during July and August. The waterfront is shared by the Hickory Beach community so there are other docks in front of our cottage that belong to others in the community. We're at the end of the waterfront so we don't see a lot of other people- especially during the week. Our dock is right in front of the cottage, but you're also free to swim or fish off the other docks unless someone comes down to use it.
